The girl who gave me the message was very good My only complaints I have, is in the room I was in they had a clock that ticked When getting a relaxation message last thing you want to hear is tick tick tick tick tick tick the whole time lol ... And the rooms aren’t very sound proof I believe I was in a room closer to the “lounge” I could hear people talking and coughing so that part also was a little unrelaxtion I guess you could say. I went into European Day Spa today to get my eyebrows and upper lip threaded before my wedding on Saturday. The lady that was helping me was very sweet but man that was probably the most painful threading I’ve ever had. She cut my 4 times. The cuts on my eyebrows are quite deep and hurt ALOT. Not only that but wow she missed a lot of hair, I pointed them out to her but she said they were too short (I got them all out myself when I got home...some were quite long). Pretty disappointed, will definitely not be coming back. At $28, that was as the worst threading and most expensive one I’ve ever had, not to mention I now have all these cuts before my wedding. All they did was place a warm towel on my face 3 times and put a moisturizer, scrub, and a mask which was 15 minutes. So our best friends saved up to get us a couples message gift certificate as our wedding gift. This was a year ago, and there was no expiration date on this gift certificate. However, when we heard they were changing to European day salon, I called to book the appointment. I was then told that they were completely booked up for appointments, but they would be honouring all gift certificates anyway. I asked if there was a deadline and they said no but your best off booking int...o later 2017 when it will be quieter. I then had a very rough year health wise and wouldn't have been able to make it in for a while between doctors, and now that I'm better my husband and I were very much looking forward to this message. After contacting them to book in I was told they would not honour our gift certificate. I was told there was nobody I can phone or speak directly with on this matter, at both the Abbotsford and Chilliwack locations. I am very upset because we could never afford this otherwise and our friends saved up for such a long time. Went for a spa date with my 5 year old daughter to get manis like I have at other salons. Other salons always cater to her and go out of there way to make her feel comfortable and special. Here she got sub par treatment. She asked to soak her hand in water like her mom. She asked multiple times and they said no it's not in her package. (Her package was $15 for them to just apply nail polish) so she left feeling left out and disappointed. My nails were left very splotchy and not even coated. For the price they charge I would expect exceptional results and service. I will not be back. I'll stick with the more trusted salons in our town. Don't waste your money. Read Less

Visited the spa in hopes of resolving my stubborn lower back pain. Since there weren't very many reviews on the spa, I was naturally worried about going to my appointment. From the point I walked in, I felt at peace. The receptionist was very kind and directed me to the relaxation room where I waited for my masseuse. The spa room was inviting, calming, and clean. The massage itself was extremely well done although the pressure was less than what I wanted (I guess there is a deep tissue massage for a reason!). Highly recommended for a nice little getaway. My spa experience here started out well. I got my eyebrows waxed and was happy with the result! I primarily came here for a RMT massage. I have started a desk job and my neck and back are just a mess. So I was pretty clear about the pain I'm having (verbally and on the form they have you fill out) and my masseuse seemed surprised that I didn't just want a "relaxing arm and leg massage." I had booked and hour and told her if she had extra time after working on my back and neck that she could of course go ahead and do the relaxed massage thing. I am very disappointed. She spent maybe a combined total of 20 minutes (I booked 60 min) on my back and neck and the rest of the time on my legs and arms! I got off the table and immediately cracked my neck, felt like a total waste of $125. This would be getting 5 stars for eyebrows, atmosphere and front desk service of the spa itself, however I am not going to be returning for a massage. I wished I had spent my money elsewhere.
