I had my eyebrows waxed here and she had wax all over my eyelid and I had to stop her from putting the strip on and ripping skin off, and then she proceeded to put rubbing alcohol all over my eye, which got into my eye which didn’t work and just moved the wax onto my eyelashes which were now stuck together and I couldn’t open my eye. I finally asked her to find some oil and try that. Once again, so much oil was used that it got in my eye again. They still charged me for the ...wax, which I didn’t think was fair, and when I voiced my concern and was upset no one said sorry the manager told me that the staff there didn’t realize I didn’t like the service. My daughter and a couple of her friends decided they wanted to get acrylic nails done. They checked out the price list online and thought they would just get regular polish to save some money since they were paying themselves. When it came time for the polish they were asked to pick a color but were not asked if they wanted regular or gel polish and weren't given any options. They were automatically given the gel polish and the girls didn't know any differently until it cam...e time to pay and they were asked to pay $50 + tax instead of $40. One of them didn't even have enough money so I had to cover the extra for her and my daughter. When I came back in and found out what had happened I voiced my concerns but all they did was give the girls 5% off. Better than nothing I suppose but the principle remains that they were not asked what they wanted. They just said that most people get the gel polish. Bad business practice if you ask me. The price list is up on the wall for all to see, which is great, but maybe the staff members should have at least pointed to it and asked their "customers" what they would like. The woman who did my nails was super annoyed that she had to do the design that I had asked for, she was rushing through the whole application, and was also very rough with my nails. I have never had gel or acrylic nails. I went with a friend who really likes this place. She booked us in and meet me there. At first I had a hard time finding it. I parked on street on 80 Avenue so I didn't see the business because it's facing south. I walked around and did eventually find it. My first visit was fun. There was a language barrier and since I didn't really know a lot I winged it. The woman who did my pedicure and manicure amazed me. I got gel nails and for my hands got french tips. I really loved them and they lasted three weeks. I went back with my Mother in law and had a different woman. I didn't think she could top what I already had but she did. She took a lot more time to make sure everything was perfect. The only downside was another customer was having a terrible experience and based on what I saw and how they handled it I was disenchanted. The customer wanted pink nails and got french tips. It was stopped and her manicurist removed it and started on the pink ones. Well after sitting down and waiting for her Mom the pink started to lift. She was very upset and the employee still charged her full price and asked her to come back for a free fix. The customer didn't have time so she left angry. I had always come here and they always did an exceptional job. Recently I went there to get nails done for a wedding and the girl who did them had one hand way different from the other i was not very happy. When I got them taken off from another salon the lady had a really hard time getting them off she at least had to take an hour to get them off when it only takes about 15 mins or so. Read Less

Went to this place for the first time todayTotally fantastic! Will definitely return and recommend.FINALLY a nail place that is CLEAN, ladies are friendly and they are GOOD at what they do.Place is quiet,... so good for relaxing. Not 25 staff members all crammed into the place wearing dirty smocks and talking like normal amongst themselves.Received a full set of gel nails and then had a spa pedicure with gel. Lady did lovely job and did exactly what I asked.Have been to a million of these type places and this is the first and only nail place I can say is clean and it looks like they have tried to keep it in order.Maybe a little more expensive then other places but to not get an infection, have a pleasant experience and the people be friendly - it's fine with me. Was quoted $75 for a mani pedi on the phone, get there and decided to only get the pedi. Everything was an upcharge, you want this color of polish it's more, you want lotion it's more. It cost me $55 for what I feel is a very basic pedicure with just a basic nail color. Very over priced and she got lotion on my pants that I had to ask her to wipe off which took some of the color off. This nail salon was phenomenal when they first opened, their prices were low, they had great customer service and did extras like nail art. I've been going there for a while. It's close to home and they don't rush like the ones at kingsway mall do. Sometimes the work isn't perfect but as long as you patiently explain what you want and let them correct mistakes it always turns out. Made an appointment for my mom and me on Mother's day. I knew it would be busy. We had to wait 10 minute to get seated but they apologised as they had some technicians who couldn't make their shift. I don't think any of the ladies got any type of break that day. A party of 4 came in late for their appointment by 20 minutes, they were told they would have to come back later, I would have been upset had they been seated before us as we showed up 10 min early. Being short staffed, having customer show up late, and people trying to book walk ins I was not made to feel rushed. I wasn't able to sit next to my mom while we had our pedicures but seeing these professionals coping with the insane amount of people, I'm not holding it against them. I'll go back for sure. I had amazing service yesterday at the Stadium location. The staff were very attentive to all of my needs...even offered me a beverage and I accepted the offer. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, even with me being so indecisive on what color of polish to get because there are so many to choose from, another bonus;) I will definitely be returning there from now on not only because of the location(it's close to my house), but the quality of service is right on! I am absolutely dissapointed beyond belief with the service I recieved yesterday. I have always been a return customer and always bring new people with me everytime I am in town. However I will not be returning after the last experience we just had. My mother and I came in for pedicures. We both expressively asked that special care was given to our feet to help get off the dead skin and cleaned up. Well our pedicures took a total of 20 minutes from start to finish and no at...tention was given whatsoever, let alone extra. We both still have dead skin hanging from our feet, callouses and we may have well painted our own toenails. We were not walk ins, we had appointments and we came 2 hours before closing when they were not busy, there is no excuse for this and was simply poor service. Paying $70 for 2 pedicures that we will just have to go somewhere else to get redone in quality. I will not be coming back and I will be recommending the same to any friends I know as well who go there. Do not go here if you expect a job well done. So dissapointed. See More Read Less
