Today was my first time here and I am hooked. I have small nail beds and I asked for a white tip. Usually when I get them done they look chunky and like I have little kid nails. Steven took the time to make the nail look natural and was extremely careful with my cuticles which are very sensitive and almost always hurt afterward (this time they do not) I’m use to being charged $40-$50 because it takes more time on my nails but I was only charged $35. If I could put no stars I would! I’m soo heated! I got my nails done a week and a half ago they have grown out tremendously,they are lifting and one broke! They told me to go back in if it broke within two weeks and they would fix it for free! So I went I and I waited 35mins before they got to me. I addressed that I was really upset that my nails looked awful! The shine was gone and the color was faded. They FIXED one nail! The one that was broken. The guy at the front offere...d to fix only “ the lifted nails” for free but couldn’t fix the others! That would be a charge! They were only gonna give me new nails to a few fingers!! I was so excited to find out this was the same owner from cibolo. Went in and saw some same nail techs. Until today i gave been happy. The two guys that run the front the younger is nice the older is short and rude. I switched to dip two weeks ago and they turned out awesome. However today like crap. I was so excited when Luxx opened, I wasn’t happy with any of the other salons in the area and pinned all my hopes on this one being my go to place. They are that and so much more! I have my nails done (acrylic and solar) as well as pedicures. Every time is quality work, relaxing and pleasurable. My husband even enjoys his pedicures! I spent a lot of time looking for a new salon in the San Marcos/New Braunfels area that would meet/exceed my expectations and give me the proper experience and this salon did just that. I called ahead of time to inquiry some info because I heard good things and the receptionist gave me some nail tech suggestions. I went ahead and made an appointment with Rae and she gave me the proper care and relaxation that I came for. She did such a good job both times I've been there. Making an appointment is better than walk-ins because you might have to wait a little while. As far as pricing, they can up-charge compared to some salons, however, quality work is not cheap. You get what you pay for. They have complimentary drinks, limited 2 per person and it is very clean in there. Love this place!! Read Less

I had heard so many good things about this place so I decided to stop in and have my nails painted. I had just gotten in town for a wedding, we came early so I had plenty of time to do some running around before hand. The lady was rushing through there were nails that were totally globbed with polish and some that weren’t even fully painted. They were the most streaky looking nails I’ve ever had. It looked awful and after she asked me if it looked ok I said no because the pol...ish was literally about to drip off some of my nails so she then just wiped off the glob of paint and did one tiny little layer over that part which made it even more of an uneven paint job. Finally went to this salon about 2/3 days ago, and I loved it! The staff was super friendly, it was clean, and my nail stylist was super nice and didn't make it awkward at all! But, since that day I went to get my nails done (I got a full shellac set), there's a few bumps under the paint from the filing(nothing too noticeable) and the paint it already coming off on the edges:( I've never had this happen before and I'm kind of disappointed:( I'll definitely be going back to give them another shot though Read Less

I can see why people say the front desk/manager is rude. But once you get to know him and see he has a dry sense of humor he’s actually very nice and funny. Otherwise the girl who did my nails saw the picture I wanted and did a great job on doing them. Made sure I was okay and kept making sure I was happy with my nails. I have been coming here with my mom for years, and we always have an amazing experience. They're nice and are curious about your day, not a lot of "chatter" in their native tongue, as a lot of people seem to complain about. Everyone who has done me pedicures are always making sure I am as comfortable as can be, and will do anything to make me happy. When I hit  my toe sitting down to dry, one of the nail techs came over on her hands and knees to redo it. I'd recommend Snow for gels/acrylics anything she is such a sweet heart and was happy to see me as I had gone to a different Q Nails for a few times bc it was close to my gym. Q Nails in the Hamptons deserves better than a 1 star review.EDIT: I went to see Snow for a pedicure, and she is always so lovely. After I was under the dryer for about 25 mins 2 ppl (1 I think is the boss) came over and spoke in their language, pointing at my big toes, they put some oil on them and rubbed. When I got home I noticed bubbles on my big toes. They didn't offer to redo the nails, they obviously knew something was wrong. I decided to try this place due to positive reviews on another website. Unfortunately I won't be returning. The nail tech did a really bad job on my gel nails. They are thick, some of them are unevenly angled at the end, my skin was glued to a few of the nails even though my nails were not super short, and one of my cuticles bled. Read Less

I really wanted to like this place since it is extremely close to my house, they do have a wide selection of colours for shellac but when she did them she overheated my nails and there were tons of uneven parts left over. I have been going to this Q nails since it opened. Snow is amazing ! The other ladies are very good too. I have gotten amazing pedicures here they really take their time and want to make sure everything is perfect. I'm a nurse and I have gotten nails other places where they fall off within a few days of working I have had nails that have lasted over a month and a half from snow. They asked for cash so that they are able to pay their tips out at the end of the day or else they have to wait till the end of the week. Let me preface this review by stating how much I hate negative reviews and that also I have had fantastic service (at the Leduc location in particular) of this chain and that is why I decided to give this location a go.It was a frigid Saturday afternoon and a girlfriend wanted to get a mani so in her vehicle we hopped and down to this location of Q's Nails we went because we were cold and it was very near to us.We walked in and they were able to start our manicures immediately, but considering how cold it was there weren't many people out so that wasn't much of a surprise. We both had old Shellac to remove and wanted a new set added.They sat us next to one another and had us soak our fingers in remover without speaking to us. Then they used the dremel on my friend and then asked us to switch seats so they could use it on me which is very strange. What kind of salon doesn't have enough tools so that there is one at every station?My friend's mani was done in less than 20 minutes and looked like it had been done that quickly. It was not pristine or professional looking at all and they didn't offer any hot towels or for her to wash her hands or anything. She was offered some hand lotion after they were completed by pulling the pump out of the bottle and having her run her hands down the stem of it to take the lotion off of there. It was just really unprofessional.My manicure on the other hand took well over an hour, and we had exactly the same service. This wasn't because I was being taken care of any better, my tech just seemed to have a very difficult time removing all of my old polish. When it came time to pick my colours I went with one... then changed my mind and picked a different colour. She was still working on removing my polish so I didn't think that this was a big deal. My friend's tech asked me which colour I wanted and double checked with me by confirming the colour number and shade. Then later on she checked again that I wanted that same shade.When my polish was finally removed my tech confirmed my colour and number again (the third or fourth time by that point) and when she returned with the bottle and opened it I told her that was the wrong shade. She informed me that this is the colour number that I had told her even though it didn't match the shade that I had told her that I wanted. I asked if I could please have the colour that I had asked for already and then I apologized for saying the wrong number but I was thinking to myself how was this so hard, especially since it had been confirmed with me so many times.When my mani was almost done (and it looked worse than my friend's, my nails were all crooked--especially my thumb--and polish on my cuticles) another of the techs curled up on one of the pedicure chairs next to us, tucked her feet under her and proceeded to chat on her cell phone on what appeared to be a personal phone call. As I'm not her boss I shouldn't judge but it was just so unprofessional. She was barefoot, not even wearing shoes. It just made the place feel really cheap.After my polish cured we just wanted to get out of there. I stood up and was told, "You can wash your hands if you want." I did and then was given enough hand lotion to lube up a small army, the opposite of what my friend received. We walked to the till and got asked, "Are you paying with debit?" Not a thank you, no words of appreciation for coming in, not a comment on how we liked our services, no niceties at all.I will say that at only $30 for a Shellac mani the price is right but the service and final product were so shoddy that it wasn't even worth it. I had a gel white tips applied (for my sisters wedding) and my daughter had paint on toes and nails. Getting them done was ok. Nothing special they were very quick. Not very customer friendly. When I came to get them (mine) removed I asked if they had solution to dip them in the man at the front desk told me yes wait about 10 mins or so. I waited my turn the lady was working on another woman in a chair next to me and asked to see my nails and before I could look up she had nail clippers breaking away at the tips. When I pulled away she ask me "you don't like?" I of course said no and looked at the man like WTF. He talks to her in their language. I wanted to walk out. How rude to speak in your language when you damn well know I don't speak that language. Then she says "i be gentle" This was not a gentle service. it hurt like hell! and it cost me $20! I've been here a few times for a pedicure and I have to say it's hit and miss. Sometimes it's great and sometimes my gel polish is peeling off within a few days. The reason I am writing this review is because they totally destroyed my nails. I've had manicures with gel polish many times and I always ask them to soak the old polish off so it doesn't damage my nails. This place refused to soak off the old polish and instead soaked my hands in cold water and peeled off the old polish with tweezers. My nails are totally ruined, they are peeling and thin. They hurt when you press on them and the white part of my nails is no longer straight across my nail, it is jagged and mishapen(see photo). This photo was taken 3 weeks after they pulled the polish off! I should have just left after they refused to soak off the old polish but I was leaving on vacation the next day and did not have time to go elsewhere. I will not be going back again. Read Less

For starters the image on this map is incorrect- this salon is located in the hamptons.I have been going here for a year and had never had a bad visit. They are very friendly i have seen them clean and disinfect their products and have always been accomodating. Snow the nail girl there is amazing. My nails last 4 weeks with no issues.
