They weren't interested in speaking to me. They weren't interested in my attempts at small talk. When the ladies do speak they speak to each other in their own language. Which I don't mind except sometimes they give off the impression they are talking about you and you don't want to say anything because you don't know for sure (a common nail salon problem I'm familiar with). No conversation and no tv. It was awkward and I wanted out. I've been to this location twice. Each time I felt the same feeling of unwelcome. I was very pleased with the service and the quality of the work. I have been going to high end spas for 15 years to have my manicure and pedicures done. I have worn gel nails for 15 years. I've seen all sorts of set ups and methods. Gave Venus a try because they were close to home and prices advertised were very low. I have had 3 pedicures there and all have been good. I have had 4 manicures, and I am going back to have it done again. Yes, Venus is small and doesn't have a street front presence but I don't see how that effects how they do your nails. They are constantly busy and most of the customers seem to know the technicians very well so obviously return customers. I will continue going and am glad I can get quality work done at a reasonable price. Last 2 visits I have had shellac done on my nails and they do a lovely job that lasts. Read Less

Went and had a pedicure today, service was friendly and the pedicure was as good as I have had at much more expensive salons. I had been here last time around Christmas 2015 and it was nice to see they have done renovations recently. Everything is fresh and clean. They also have new pedicure chairs. Came in to get my nails done for my wedding and the girl did an amazing job. I had a picture of what I wanted done with me and she matched it perfectly. Had her do the gel and then draw some designs and add some gems and she did it all quick. The best part was how reasonable their pricing is. I would have paid way more at any other salon. Read Less

Eeek! Never again. My girlfriend recommended this salon to me saying that the pedicures are cheaper than the average salon. I decided to get my nails done and made an appointment here, since it's close to my house. The lady on the phone was friendly so I was optimistic. When I arrived, the place was PACKED. It's such a small salon with a bunch of pedicure and manicure stations stuffed in, among other things. I was asked to wait and was seated for about 10 minutes when I was called up. Once I sat down at the station I noticed how filthy everything was - the tables weren't wiped down (and didn't have any towels on them), there was dust and dirt everywhere, tools being reused, etc. I was nervous. Because I had shellac on my nails, she needed to remove it first before doing my manicure. She quickly started soaking cotton balls with alcohol and wrapping the tin foil on my fingers like it was a race to the finish line. Half of the tin foil pieces were completely falling off but it didn't look like she cared. Once she was done, she went back to another client to finish up. After soaking my nails for about 10 minutes, she returned to me and took off the tin foil wrappers to see that the polish had barely soaked off (she hardly put any alcohol on the cotton pads because she was in such a rush). She does the whole process again (and still, going faster than a bat out of hell) while asking me to pick a new shellac color. I was trying to pick up the sheet with the colors on it to get a closer look, and once again a tin foil wrapper fell off of one of my fingers. She then scolded me, saying "You just look! You don't need to touch!". Well, okay then...Once my polish had finally soaked off, she started to scrape it off using the cuticle pusher, but she was SO ROUGH. She filed, buffed, and scraped my nails to the point that it was hurting and I told her so. She blamed the last place I got my nails done for her aggressiveness. Once she got the old polish off, she did the QUICKEST manicure I've ever seen, barely even massaging my hands or anything. The polish job was SO MESSY. Not to mention I chose a dark color, not all that attractive when it's all over your fingers and cuticles. Finally when she finished, AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER (45 minutes longer than any other shellac manicure I've ever had), I also asked to have my eyebrows waxed (Don't ask me why. My justification was I needed them done, and I was already there). She did a decent job but she burnt me with the hot wax. I go up to pay and she has the nerve to point out the tip option on the machine. I'll stick with Sunshine Nails from now on. Even though it's a little more expensive, I always have a great experience there. Read Less

Venus Nail Salon is not very visible, I stumbled upon it when going to my insurance broker.  They had prices for services on the outside of the door to the salon, so I went in and made an appointment for a pedicure.  The salon is small.  The woman who I had the appointment with was very nice, but she spoke limited english.  The massage chairs they had looked brand new!  It was one of the more comfy ones I had sat in!  That automatically made this place good.  The woman working on me was very gentle but gave a great foot massage!  She did cut me when trimming my cuticle on my one big toe and she apologized over and over.  It really wasn't a big deal.  She asked if I wanted a french polish, for an extra $5, I said yes.  She did a great job on the polish.  So it cost me $40 for the pedicure.  Very affordable!I would return to Venus Nail Salon, the women were very friendly and I was very happy with my pedicure!
