Okay, so to start off I have suffered my early pre-teen and teen years with very bad acne and high pigmentation. Thought I tried everything and nothing seemed to want to work. It was getting to the point a few weeks ago that my acne was painful and severe around my mouth and chin area with a few spreading toward my cheekbones. My cousin and I went in for cartilage piercings (this was my cousin's first cartilage piercing, and she was very nervous about it). Kris M. was super good at keeping my cousin at ease. She was extremely knowledgable and personable. She explained how everything was going to work and was very patient with wanting to get the piercings right where we wanted them. Been to this location a few times over the last 2 years. More recently twice to get Bio Gel nails done by Angela. The first time I went in they accommodated me within 3 hours of me calling and got me an appointment. I went in not knowing 100% what I wanted, but walked out with great extensions on my nails with the perfect colors that she helped me pick out. I was wanting to grow my nails out. The second time I went to see her, it took a little bit longer to get an appointment, but I got in none the less. I had my last set removed after about 3-4 weeks having them on. I work a fairly busy job and they had held up great! This time we stuck with my new natural nails and kept the length. I had somewhat of an idea after looking at some pictures. We ended up doing this awesome water color look that turned out AMAZING! It started as something she wanted to try (and said we could easily remove if it didn't work) and it sounded like it could be cool, and the end result was awesome. I was not happy & not satisfied with their service. I had medical facial, the lady who did me did not inspect/check thoroughly my face for milia which is one of my top concern. the facial for me was too quick, she just put those scrubs on my face but did not scrub my face very well it was too quick. After the service i told her that she did not removed the milia on the specific spot of my face. she just did my left side of my face. and removed 2 milia on my right, one on my chin. She interupted me talking by telling that she did removed only it is swollen. but I still can see the milia on that spot actually i still have lots. While she's doing the extraction she was even asking me where on my face i saw these milia. I want to tell her that she's the one looking on my face so she should see them. tsk! I feel really dissatisfied coz i can still see milia on my face. I felt i did not get my money's worth. Just wasted my time too. Getting a time for a facial is hard me since i have five kids. i will never go back here. Read Less

I discovered Merle Norman at Chinook about 6 months ago and I will never go anywhere else. They are fantastic! The staff are all so lovely and the wonderful lady I see mainly is Raj who is excellent and makes me feel like family. I have had many things done, shellac nails, nail art, brow and underarm wax, deep pore facial, eye lash perm and tint, pedicure and more and every one has been fantastic and so professional. Today I spent half a day there getting all sorts of things ...done in preparation for an overseas trip and it was just brilliant and fun too being pampered and chatting with everyone 😊 Glenda kindly suggested some energy healing which they gave me today as a no cost treat by Kirsten because I have a broken shoulder waiting for surgery. Very sceptical as I was it really was amazingly soothing and I could feel it working. I really encourage you to go there and try any service they offer and I guarantee you'll be back for more.
