I normally only write reviews when I LOVE something or when I'm ticked off. I believe this to be true of most people. Anyways...I have been coming to this spa since we moved to Airdrie in 2016. My main service is the pedicure which I do 6 months out of the year (great thing about living in Winter Wonderland is that no one sees my toes for the other 6 months and this saves me money lol, sorry, I digress). I also started shellac manicures last year and have been generally satisfied. I normally request Helen or Jesse. I would rate their skills as good - not stellar, or mind-blowing but good, solid and fairly consistent. Their prices are one of the main reasons I have consistently gone back - other than the fact that I am a creature of habit. Their prices are very competitive and I do appreciate this. As far as friendliness goes, no one has been rude but no one is outstandingly warm or inviting either.I have brought my family/friends here for services over the last couple of years, but I will not be going back. The reason? Last week I treated my baby brother to his first pedicure. He is a fitness buff who can run like no one's business and so his feet take a beating. The total service time was 15 minutes. That's right, a pedicure in 15 minutes. It was the shortest spa pedicure I've witnessed in 20 years. There were no others waiting, so there was no need to rush, and I had called in the appointment, so I was not a walk-in. Now I understand that my brother is not getting his toe nails painted, but then for heaven's sake, give him more massage time, or take extra care with his callouses, etc. The thing that really irked me is that the pedicure was done by the owner of the nail spa - someone who should go the extra mile for her clients - someone who knows I come in regularly - someone who knew this was my brother's first experience - but someone who rushed through the service and didn't care. If it was any other technician, I probably wouldn't be writing this review right now, but the owner of any business who is stingy/frugal will NOT be getting my business again. I manage a family-owned business and I work hard for my clients. I expect a similar level of service when I am the client. I believe in supporting businesses who have the same philosophy as I do:Be Grateful For Your Clients. Be Generous To Your Clients.Treat Your Clients Like The Gold They Are.I want to give this place only 2 stars, but their prices, along with Helen and Jesse's service bump them up to 3 stars, but not one inch higher.
