Bell gave me the most beautiful coffin-shaped nails and lash extensions I've ever had done. You can tell she is an absolute expert! I walked in to get my nails done at 5pm on a Friday (closing time is 6pm), and I asked about lash extensions and Bell was more than happy to stay back after hours to accommodate for me. Even though Mimi had finished his shift, he came and worked on my nails on my other hand! This is true customer service. Lashes were done flawlessly, they've been on for a week now and still look amazing. All staff members genuinely care for customers. I enjoyed my experience here. Don't get your lashes done here. Have been a regular customer getting eyelash extensions, when one day the manager tells me I now have to pay an extra $20 for them, despite always being charged the same rate every other time. It takes her about 4 hours to do, and she serves other customers and does their nails during your appointment. It's not done safely, the glue constantly gets in my eye and burns as since she's rough with your eyes it forces them to open a little at times. Ive had blood shot eyes for the past two days and marks all over my face from where the tape was pulling my skin. Not worth it ! Pay a little extra to get lashes that are put on safely and correctly and with people who care about maintaining long term customers. I am very unsatisfied with my nails. After returning from overseas, so I went to a salon near where I was staying. I told them that my nails are gel but the staff they were NOT gel, and were Shellac (even though they CLEARLY were raised from the nail and could either have been gel OR acrylic). So since they are expert, I thought I will follow their instructions. I advised them that my nails are weak, very weak. They advised me that shellac will make them strong, strong enough so they wont break. They were wrong. The irony is, I was happy to get the Gel/SNS version and if I had just done what I wanted with out interference. The staff seemed educated and very knowledgeable but did not really check the strength of my nails. Basically, if I got what I asked for I would have been happy. After complaining to the manager, I was told that I was wrong and that all the miscommunication was my fault. I was offered a $5 discount on my next service. Although the service is good and the staff seem nice. $5 s not enough to redress this situation. They clearly don't care about repeat customers or customer satisfaction. I paid my bill and left. I unfortunately will never return to this salon and I hope that no one else has complaints because clearly they don't care about their customers too much. Read Less

Initial enquiry through a couple of phone calls on pricing, timing and availability were handle in a patient manner considering it was a busy morning. Upon entry, first impressions were good. Owner personally greeted us with warm smiles and was very attentive. We were introduced a talented young nail artist to provide us the service and finalise the pricing based on the initial design we wanted. The nail artist assigned to us did exceptionally well. We were very impressed with her work. Midway through the work, the nail artist recommended several changes to ensure that the outcome would be better if we went ahead with her recommendations. As to which ultimately resulted in lesser materials used (hence the assumption to a lower pricing).Upon completion, we proceeded to pay but were met with the same initial quoted price despite using lesser material. Design complexity were lower after the changes. We enquired the reasons why the price remained the same. Instead of explaining nicely the reasons (whatever it may be), we encountered a hostile treatment from the owner's sister that owns the business. We were told and I quote "If you are not happy, you don't have to come back. We don't need your business here." Shocked and confusion sets in as our discontentment towards that sister had ruined the whole great experience we initially received. To top it off, the rude sister repeatedly told us off as quoted above. The owner stepped in to apologised on her sister's behalf and even then still tried to justify her sister's action. To summarise, we paid what was quoted initially despite not having a breakdown or tax invoice of the charges and leaving with a bad aftertaste of what could've been a pleasant experience and repeat business. We hope for their business sake that this matter be dealt with accordingly.PS: We cross checked with Hair & Nail Code, the nail artist there provided their cost breakdown (Magic Nails did not provide a cost breakdown) of the work done by Magic Nails and it was 30% more dearer.
