Should have heeded the advice of many googlerians who gave bad reviews to this nail salon. Did a classic mani pedi few weeks back, the lady uses some lotion from their in-house bottles and simply scrub my feet with it using a sponge, instead of a proper file where professional salons use to exfoliate your dead skin. Obviously the dead skin on my feet were still intact. Moreover no moisturizer was applied on my feet and there was no buff and shine service. At the end of the service, the lady uses a spray to spray clean the feet soaking tub, no water was used to clean up the tub where I just soaked my feet! I walked in there with my friend. The lady who was going to work on my nails didn't listen to me properly and didn't answer my questions! I couldn't understand what she was saying and kept asking her to repeat! Then she told me "you don't understand nothing!" She pushed my finger harshly and in a rude way! And spoke rudely and impatiently like she wanted to get the job done and get rid of me 'right now'! I told her I changed my mind and don't want to do it! I went to my friend to say goodbye to her. Then she started yeling and explaining to others & my friend about what happened, instead of letting it go! That was embarrassing!! I mean, what the hell!! I left the place right away, my friend although stayed and got her nails done. But later she told me I made a right decision not letting them do my nails. I moved to London about a year ago and it was recommended that I try Hot Nails. I am SO glad that I did! All the staff are incredible friendly, professional and skilled. They remember my name every time I go in, which isn't even that frequently. Amazing selection of colours, clean and welcoming facilities, and the option of having a glass of wine is a nice touch. Worst nail experience ever. Have had them do normal polish and it would always chip so I thought I would do shellac on day 2 one nail chipped i had it fixed and then another chipped when I went back they refused to take responsibility and said it was my own fault. I always have a fantastic experience here. So reasonably priced and my SNS always last all the way to the next treatment, not single chip! I only leave four stars however as my last visit the young girl really didn't do a great job, but I pointed it out and another lady fixed it straight away. I'm honestly surprised at the negative feedback and wonder if the store has new owners? I've been going here every 2-4wks for just over a year and have no complaints. They use a fresh kit for every pedicure so it's very hygienic, I used to get Shellac once a fortnight and it always lasted but they actually recommended I use SNS since it lasts longer. Now only go monthly. They also have a customer loyalty program which I've never encountered before! Read Less

Peter and Kim are always so welcoming at the door. They make you feel comfortable in their salon. And they both make a conscious effort to learn their clients names! They filed off my old shellac, rather than soaking it off and so they took an layer off my nails, then filed them manually afterwards.  Really has thinned my nails badly.  Manicure was okay but the Shellac applied was thin and patchy. Overall, nice people but I will never go here again. Read Less

went in to get eyelash extensions done (first timer). My first visit almost left me with my eyes glued shut and my eyes looking very uneven. I came back again that week to have the issue fixed. One of the girls evened it out a little bit but also complained that the previous lady who did my lashes used so much glue it wasn't good for my eyes. I was given a voucher for my next visit to have eyelashes removed free of charge and a $20 discount for next time. So with my voucher, I decided to give this place another chance and  came back 2 weeks later.It took two ladies to do the eyelash extension removal.. they didn't warn me that the solution they would use would cause such a massive sting! they did the removal very rushed and I was sitting up on the bed in a very very uncomfortable position. They didn't managed to removed all the glue that was plastered on my lashes so just covered it up and put more lashes on there. after the procedure I was not content with the end result. There was still glue residue, and the lashes again looked uneven. They lady doing my eyes this time kept complaining and generally making me feel very uncomfortable. The staff here come and in and out of the room yelling in their own language and when they are dealing with you they will talk in their own language which I find very rude and insulting. I left a review earlier but I forgot to give it the 5 star rating that Hot Nails on Wellington deserves! Peter & his friendly, well experienced staff offer a wide variety of services - many of which both I and my daughter have tried and it's always a truly pleasant experience with an amazing job well done!! I live 70 miles away & wouldn't dream of letting anyone else but Peter (and staff) do my nails! I make the trip to visit my bestie here in London about every 4 weeks & I c...an't wait to get to Hot Nails & see Peter's next amazing creation!! Especially if you go in and tell him to "just do his thing" & trust him to complete a beautiful work of art on your nails!! No matter what you request, you will not be disappointed whether it's a simple French manicure or crystal gel nails with beautifully coloured tips or a set of gel nails with design & lots of bling, you'll look & feel spectacular! Another plus for me and it's a biggie for me is the extreme patience & understanding & friendliness which they extend to my developmentally disabled daughter, Krissy. (More patient than many in her family as well as myself sometimes) I've tried many salons in London & have never been satisfied with either the job that they've done (too sloppy, cut me, nails too thick or buffed too thin etc) or their rudeness & lack of respect for their clients. I've been in here twice now. Once for a pedicure and once for gel manicure. They have a wide selection of beautiful colours to choose from and the polish/gel lasted a very long time! They give you a personal set of nail tools that they keep in the shop so when you come in you know the nail tools haven't been reused by another customer. Visited there 2.5 times and came out pretty happy, the first time was for manicure an pedicure cost me $45 - reasonable price, the treatment was good.  What I most liked about it is that there are 2 girls working on u simultaneously so u r done in 30 min both legs and hands.I must admit I had already better pedicure but it was ok.The second time I cam for Pedicure and SNS Manicure - which is a new to me, no use of nail polish but nail powder that is being attached to the nail using special glues and than brushing it with a unique nail polish. it looks very good on the nails actually it becomes integral part of the nail. It suppose to last for 3 weeks. Unfortunately one of the nails  started to crack after a week so I have returned and they repair it on spot - this is the 0.5 visit.the bottom line the place is nice and clean, the service is polite and quick. One recommendation to the owners pls. instrcut the girls to speak english in customer prsence - it is nit polite to chat in a language that is not the local one , gave me the feeling they r talking behind my back infront of me. I am not one of those fortunate women with beautiful hands and long gorgeous natural nails.My nails break, they peel, they bend, and they're generally not so hot. So I have acrylics put over them. The thing is, I don't like looking like a 15yo schoolgirl with an inch of fake white nail tip when I have them done, so it's important to me to find a place that can do them well and emulate natural looking nails.Amy is a great technician, she takes her time to make sure the refills are perfect, and she never tries to give me the hard sell about replacing the set. They also have a loyalty card - every 10th service is free. Refills cost $28. They have shellac, crackle and tons of gel colours too.It's also super handy that this place is within the Vogue shopping plaza- plenty of parking. Read Less
