I used to love this place. It made me so happy. But slowly the manicures started getting worse and worse. I stopped going for a while. But on a whim decided to go back last weekend. They've just increased their prices by a whopping 20% as a new years present to us all. That is a crazy increase. My gel manicure and basic pedicure were $88!! 5 days later and the gel manicure is already peeling off one nail. Really good service. Made an appointment for my cousin and myself for a pedi. Very clean and relaxing atmosphere. Chairs are so comfortable to sit in and polish came out beautiful. Free drinks were a plus and really made it a luxurious experience. They were even accommodating of the kids we brought along, a 4 and 7 yr old. Me and my friend walked in on a Sunday morning at 10:00am and were the first and only ones there. Becky immediately started my friends nails and did a awesome job btw! Nail polishes are cheap from Thailand, only a small selection of OPI. I had a manicure, the polish was old and streaky when applied, the manicurist got polish all over my cuticles and nail bed, my 10 year old could have done a better job If you have a choice of doing it yourself or going here, stay home - it will turn out better. My daughters treated me to a pedi yesterday for my birthday. Walked in and loved what I saw! Not your typical nail salon in Bakersfield. Once the receptionist was finished on the phone taking care of other clients, I was greeted warmly. I was fortunate that there were only a few clients there, so I was seated right away. The salon is decorated with pampering in mind. Sandra did an amazing job and was friendly and sweet. I was offered a beverage a it was perfect to have my toes done while sipping a mimosa. It truly pains me to write bad review for this place because it is so darn cute (!!!), but I wish the staff was as experienced as one would expect from a high-priced and high-end looking place. I rushed to get there on time for my scheduled appointment to find that the technician I scheduled my appointment with, Marissa, was running late because "she had a long night." I won't disclose what Marissa told me but based on that, the tardiness for a 10 o'clock was poor. I was t...here for a total of one (1) hour and 50 minutes because she found it too difficult to fill my nails without making them too thick, which SHE pointed out on the set I walked in with. I told her at least five (5) times where my needed correcting (regarding the thickness) but ended up with very similar results: too thick on one hand and perfect on the other. She did ask me to check them before washing my hands but I had already told her and after an hour and a half of the same results, frankly, I was tired of telling her how to do her job. Additionally, when it came to the design she was unable to (1) create a simple flower or (2) straight lines. I accepted having to eliminate the flower but was majorly disappointed with the lines; I could do what she did and with my non-dominant hand. She struggled so much with the stripes, despite having a picture for reference. On top of that, despite being the professional, she was attempting to make the stripes in what I think is the wrong order (she painted the glitter base and attempted to make white stripes on top of that, which she found to be impossible because of the texture in the glitter base, so I suggested she reverse the technique) and ended up taking my advice (which she appreciated) on how to do it. I had an appointment today with my friend . When we arrived the lady in front ( short hair ) was very rude , the whole mood of the staff and lady In front was not welcoming . They didn't have any music playing no one was talking to their customers . So after a few eye rolls and half smiles I decided to take my money elsewhere . Maybe today wasn't a good day , but location is not in the best side of town to act that way . I drove from the other side of town to try this place out .
