I have had nothing but great treatment at Zen Nails. I tried the SNS nails a month ago and was amazed! Tom did a fabulous job. ..so amazing that even after a full month, I did not have a single chip. I had the polish removed after enjoying it a full month...and I only removed it because my nails had grown so much---otherwise I would have kept it on. I had Tom remove it...and it literally slid off, and I was thrilled to see that my natural nails looked great. I am sold on SNS, and have already made an appointment to have it again in a few weeks! I took my wife and daughter here for some special treatment and that is exactly what they got. The owner was so kind and caring for my family and took care of them as they were her own. The place is super clean, has a relaxing environment and best of all has good prices. The nail work was great, my daughter felt like a princess! This is perhaps rubbish, I think culturally sometimes people seem off hand but are in fact very very busy. I have been going to PNT since it opened 5-6 years ago. Yes it's chaotic sometimes but that's because it's popular, like all salons I would rate some staff over others - but this place is clean , good sterilisation, friendly, popular and good at what they do. They are not a beauty salon - but provide an economical and reasonably priced service (cheap let's face it) .... DO NOT GO HERE. I walked in and was greeting by a grumpy thai woman snarling 'what' at me. So I requested an eyebrow wax, in which I said - thick, angular. Follow my natural brow line and just get rid of the stray hairs around the shape I already have. She ignored this. Whilst she was waxing 95% of my eyebrows off, she pushed the palm of her hand into my eyesocket so hard it was throbbing for an hour or so later. I normally get my eyebrows waxed at benefit, but was unable to get an appointment as I needed to get on a plane to visit family in Melbourne (they live in somerville). I wil now spend the next 6months trying to grow back the normal eyebrows I had. She has destroyed my face.This has destroyed my self esteem, every time I look in the mirror I feel miserable. My eyebrows are warped, pencil thin and misshapen. She even changed the arch in my eyebrow. Oh, and she burnt my skin and I woke up the next day with bruising. DO NOT GO HERE.
