Therapist was lovely, delighted with brows however Brazilian wax was not great no streching done and wax applied very thin so felt like it was snapping when being removed, No streching either so sometimes the wax didnt come off first time round(prolonging that pain!!), also the therapist reapplied hot wax over areas already waxed tht were already extremely sensitive. I had a full leg wax. The esthetitian was very rude; she asked me about myself and then scoffed when I answered...if you aren't interested in what I do or who I am, don't ask and be silent. I am always treated with outstanding service from the moment I walk in. The front line greets you with warmest of welcomes. Smiles everywhere!! The place is infused with a soft aroma of bouquet. The lights, the products and colors of this place are so tastefully done. Sia attends to my monthly facials and combines it with a beautiful massage. I travel a distance to get my treatments for this reason even thou there is plenty of places near me but from the day I had arrived in Australia I have been here. I first went to Beautyologist a couple of years ago when it first opened and my skin was a pustulant mess that was getting me down. I chose the place because it is local and it offered the kind of basic facial and skin assessment I was looking for. How ridiculous do I sound when I tell you that it changed my life? Because it kinda did. Not only did they give me a great facial, they put me on to the right products so that now I have great skin and only ever really go in for a bit of a pamper or a slight corrective service. The shop itself is lovely and stocked with a good range of high quality products - I'm not going to lie, they aren't cheap, but I'm happy to pay a healthy (not prohibitive) price for products that work, sold to me by a little local store that I like. As for their beauty services, they are worth every penny. I've had several different beauty therapists treat me there and I have found all of them to be friendly and highly qualified. It's also a good idea to keep an eye open for their deals (like them on Facebook) as they often bundle services into limited availability packages for an absolute steal - it's a really good way to try out new products and services but you'd better watch it because you will get hooked! I wish I had more time to go to Beautyologist more regularly - I would probably be a far more relaxed and glowing person if I did. Read Less

A great and friendly beauty establishment in Balaclava, and so conveniently located near the train station. Inviting and well stocked with great service and prices to match. Clearly Paris (or even Europe) has arrived in the St Kilda area - or it feels like that is the case anyway, and within good reason too. Any of their facials and massages will leave your skin glowing and just feeling sensational. It is worth coming to the St Kilda East/Balaclava area to receive a facial once every couple of months to suck out those impurities on my face; and the staff just do it so well without criticising your face in any way, shape or form, and this is important. Great on a Saturday morning if your planning a quiet night in instead of going out. You just feel so relaxed that you might stay at the salon that little bit longer at the end of your treatment, and just grab a great coffee somewhere; or even something like a chai latte. A really great store coming from a male! I have to say I got dragged in there but I was very impressed. The girl working there was really friendly and down to earth where she explained what they did there really well and talked us through some of the candles and products. I know I sound lame for a man but I was totally into it so bought some of the candles and they're still going in my house. I'm sure women would get a lot more out of a place like this but I wanted to stand up for the men and say that it wasn't that bad and if you're in need of brownie points, then a high quality scented candle will go a long way!
