Like many cheaper nail salons, Nails R Us charge higher rates for gel nails, however only ever use acrylics. I was scammed by them for months before I learnt what seems very obvious...real gel nails are made from Gel - NOT POWDER like Nails R Us use. They claim to do gel nails but are actually use acrylic with a UV top coat or UV sealer applied to them to give the impression of being 'real' gel nails. To add injury to insult (literally) during my last visit to Nail R Us my fingers and nails were cut several times, twice the girl drilled right through my natural nail and into my finger and I ended up with 3 nasty infections as a result. The owner offered me a discount the next time I visit....that won't be happening! Read Less
