I wouldn't recommend it at all. Went in for manicure and didn't even get the nails shaped properly or cuticles cut. In 10 min I was done. Right hand nails were cut shorter than the left hand. Really bad service. No value for money! Read Less

I agree with u Jade. I wanted to leave a review for Hollywood Nails salon for a while. When I got to this site - frankly I couldn't believe some of the bad reviews here. My story - well - I am going to have my nails and toes done at this salon since it's opened at Victoria Gardens. I feel that my long experience qualifies me to write an honest review here. First of all it's clean, I see the girls clean the tools and the pedicure baths immediately after use. They also have uniforms which are nice and professional. I have never experienced or wittiness rudeness towards the customers however, unfortunately, I have seen some clients being rude to staff when expecting to get nails done without booking. I have had my nails done by different girls in the beginning and was never disappointed. Then I stayed with Anna and after she has left I have my nails done by lovely Maria. She is always welcoming, very skillful and fast. She has even mixed up a nail color for me when the one I liked was discontinued. My nails are always perfect and I had many good compliments on the look of them through the years. I love this salon and the lovely girls there. Also the recently updated decor is nice. The only thing I miss is a big clock and magazines that used to be there in the past - but that is not a major major issue off-course.. I would fully recommend this salon to anyone and I hope more of the happy customers write a review this great salon deserves. Read Less

I wanted to add my review as I think the others are pretty harsh and perhaps only one side of the salons customers. I've been seeing Maria and her team for many years and they have a constant stream of regulars coming and going. The girls are all very sweet and most are perfectionists when it comes to making sure your nails are beautiful before you leave. I haven't had any of the service issues listed below. This was the worst nail experience I have had in Melbourne. You would literally be better off asking a 2 year old to paint your nails and spend $60 at the pub. The selection of nail colours looked to be extensive but then I realise it was actually only a few colours repeated across the shelves, they claim to offer a variety of shellacs, but almost all were dried out and unusable, the others were incorrectly numbered relating to the swatch. I ended up having to abandon my shellac manicure after they couldn't give me my first 4 colour selections and opt for regular nail polish which they messily applied and then ushered us out, 20 minutes post manicure and all bar 3 nails are ruined, I am now at home removing all the nail polish. For the pedicure - the water in the bath was cold, they used dirty utensils, cut my foot with the cuticle clippers and didn't even bother to scrub off file back the rest of my foot. I also asked for shellac to be removed which they tried to do with the acrylic drill until I asked the to stop, she haphazardly wrapped all my fingers together in one foil parcel and tried soaking it off, which was a total waste of time, then they tried to scrape it off until I asked them to stop as it actually hurt my nails. My nails are now scrapped and thin, I may as well have had acrylics on them. If there was anywhere further I could complain to, I would, I have no idea how these people are still in business. I am new to Melbourne - moved from Perth 8 days ago, and so did my current acrylic nails. I needed refills and walked up to Victoria Gardens to get my girlfriends hair cut and my nails done at the same time. I walked into Hollywood Nails and asked if I could please get my refills done. Not sure if the person who responded was in charge of the salon or just for the day but she literally barked at me "Come back"I wasn't given a time frame so I had to ask "how long?" to which she responded "1 hour" She was so rude I just walked away as she was shouting if I wanted to wait.. Like I had a choice. There were hardly any clients in there at the time and I have been to every local nail salon in Perth, where they have been crazy busy and still treated me nicely and let me sit down and wait or given shellac colours to look at.Never going back to this place.
