I tripped on a stick while walking home after getting a beautiful pedicure here. Needless to say, I stuffed up one of the nails and when I returned to have it redone they did it for free. While a reasonable job was done on my nails I was very disappointed with the manner in this salon. I felt very unwelcome and I felt like I was being ordered around the salon.My hands were pulled and tugged at for the entire shellac manicure. Do not buy a groupon for this salon unless you're comfortable feeling like a pariah.Absolutely below average service at premium prices!The 'spa' pedicure was a basic pedicure. I think 'spa' means you're feet get wet. 5 second pumice scrub on each foot, toes painted, and that's it....Basic manicure is dry. Nail file dust was left over half of my skirt. Only had my fingernail cuticles pushed back after an argument and pointing to the fine print on the groupon. I think if a vendor is frustrated with losing profit on a groupon discount, they should not offer groupons... this salon managed to lose profit AND future patronage. Read Less

They claim to be the best in Melbourne but there was nothing exclusive about this nail bar. Firstly, they charge a fortune. You pay extra to have your cuticles cut, yet this is standard with any mani/pedi everywhere else. A "standard job" is file & paint, a "deluxe job" you get your cuticles cut. How ridiculous is that?!! They did such a rushed job, I was made feel like an inconvenience. The gel polish on my toes only last 4 days before chipping off, yet gel generally lasts 4 weeks on me. My acrylic infills are uneven & are lifting. The paint job is disgusting. The paint bubbled. They attempted to fix it but made the biggest mess of my nails in the process. There are uneven strokes brush strokes, the polish doesn't even reach the sides of my nails and there are bumps all through the polish. Worst $125 I've ever spent. Read Less

Liked the fact that they could accommodate my walk in appointment. Aside from the interruptions of my manicure due to the lady having to answer the telephone I could almost forgive that part of the service. At the end whilst drying my nails at the fan, I felt I had to leave before the recommended 30mins fan drying time as the machine was abruptly switched off after 15 minutes. Fast forward two days later and my painted talons are chipped and peeling, something I'd associate with a cheap polish from a bargain bin. Not something I expected since I chose an OPI nail polish which would usually last a minimum 5 days. Lesson learnt, I will only go back if I bring my own polish. Read Less

I visited All Star Nails today after seeing a great deal on Groupon for a mani and pedi. The gel nail polish I chose for my nail colour wasn't drying properly under the UV light. I wouldn't have noticed, but the lady doing my nails was sure to make sure it was perfect! It was greatly appreciated as I have gone to other salons where the gel polish has not properly dried and then it chips immediately after I leave. In a nutshell they're the best nail salon this side of Melbourne hands (or nails) down! The salon is gorgeous and glamorous and feels like an elegant retreat from the hectic pace of Chapel Street. So glad I found this place! After a terrible shellack French manicure at Rainbow Nails in Vouge Plaza I went to All Star Nails to try to fix the damage the other salon had made. I decided to visit this place for a mani and facial wax since it's close to work. I left with an average manicure and a big chunk taken off the top of my eyebrow, leaving me with an uneven, half eyebrow. I love the ladies at All Star Nails, and I never go anywhere else to get my claws done!! The girls are all so lovely, my acrylics are always perfect, and I can usually get my refills done without pre-booking my appointment (which is amazing when I'm so bad at organising my days off)! I decided to try somewhere new and asked for manicure and pedicure. Half way through the pedicure the girl looked at my nails and sighed as there was shellac on the tips of my nails, which I was getting cut off anyway. She said $10. I said just leave it, as I wasn't happy with the service I had been given so far. I would have to pay the full $35 even though she hadn't put the colour on my toes. Even the pedicure before that was below average. Only massaging one foot and leaving the other? She put one coat of colour on and walked away out the back, so I waited for all customers to go before approaching the lady who was managing it that day, to express my overall experience. And was told u can't change your mind half way through a meal in a restaurant it's the same here!!! Which I said yes you can if your not satisfied with it. Paid for the delux manicure and pedicure as states will tidy, shape nails etc and colour with shellac, however my nails were not shaped. I had to ask to have my nails shaped and still didnt get done. I went home and had to shape them myself. My nails didnt get shellac as i thought this what was included and less than a week later the nails look terrible. With my OPI polish as home, i can do a better job.Read Less

All star nails... The best nail boutique salon in Melbourne. The owner and staffs does beautiful quality work using upmarket quality products. More importantly all the tools are sterilised for hygiene purposes. I have visited all star nails for more than 4 years and never had a problem.
