Absolutely the most shocking customer service I have EVER received.I made an appointment for 3.45pm because I finish work at 3.30pm.I turn up at 3,46pm and the lady says "you are late, I have another appointment in 30 mins" I said excuse me I finish work at 3.30pm I would never make an appointment for then.She said oh, well. I have someone else coming in.I literaly turned up, they had overbooked themselved even though the whole shop was empty and they were standing around.I said "how were you going to bleach my roots in 30 minutes...?????".She literally said "I have no idea".SHOCKING.Ruined my nice, I wasn't ready for an event. What a surprise!!! A nail salon that provides professional looking nails, hygenic, clean, polite. What you won't get, crooked nails and ladies telling you your fingers are at fault not their skill level haha.. goodbye to all the other so called nail salons in the west they will surely lose business. Book online for this popular blow dry service on Bay St. I did note though that on the website it says from $40 but when you go to book there were only $50 and $60 options to select.  Never mind, for $50 I was happy with my wash and dry service.  My hairdresser was very friendly and understood what I wanted, the head massage during the wash was good too.  Plenty of current magazines available for flipping through during your treatment. Online booking time suggests 45min but I was pleased to say that my medium length hair had me in and out in around 20min without a frizzie fly away to be seen. Read Less

Cannot do colours. As a platinum blonde my regrowth has been ruined by inexperienced hairdressing. My foils came out orange and toner was put in too long and my blonde hair is now purple. Orange roots and purple hair. She just said sorry I don't know what to do. I wasted almost 4 hours there. Now I have to go somewhere else and spend a lot of time getting it fixed plus it's not good for my hair. Do not let them touch your blonde! Horrid experience with no compensation. Never ever again!! I am a huge fan of Blow Dry Bar's premise - walk in with flat awful hair, walk out 30mins later looking amazing for only $40. Confidence restored! Commence swishy shampoo-commercial walk! I have only ever been to Blow Dry Bar in a rush. Which is why it's like a reliable friend, ready to swoop in a rescue you at the 11th hour when you realise you've left no time to get ready for that wedding/event/job interview/super hot date. Unfortunately my haphazard booking means I don't often see the same person twice and results have definitely varied. Service has been anything from 2 star to 5 star, but usually pretty happy with my hair.Blow Drys are their specialty, so they will accept pretty much any request. From big bouncy photo-worthy curls to "could you make it look like I just woke up looking this good?" - they have always nailed it. Yes, I have actually asked for that and yes they worked their magic to a subtle and lovely do. It might seem like a blow dry isn't that hard to stuff up for a hairdresser, but I've definitely made some bad choices in the past and left looking like an 80's glamour model and stung upwards of $60 for the privilege. BDB has never steered me wrong, which is why I go straight there without question when I'm in need of a confidence boosting look. Read Less
