Not good, hair was so rushed she didn’t even run a brush or comb through it, make up was rushed and the girl spoke over my head to all her work friends even though I tried to engage her in small talk. Wouldn’t recommend this place at all. Went home and restyled my hair myself. Read Less

The lovely stylist who I asked to wave my hair listened to exactly what I wanted and after I explained that my hair drops quite quickly and the weather was bad explained the best option was to tightly curl it and give it lots of volume to ensure it was just right for my engagement party that night. She then showed me exactly what to do to loosen it just before the event which was so kind and my hair turned out amazing. Went to get a blow wave with soft curls and it was a waste of my time and money. - I was not asked if I wanted anything to drink once - The lady washed my hair twice (with cold water) and didn't use any conditioner - She then dried my hair with a dryer burning my scalp. No blow drying actually took place just her hand scratching my head - She then used a straightener to create the biggest curls possible when I specifically asked for soft curls... - At this point I just wanted to get out of there and when paying I got told it was an extra $15 because they used a straightener AFTER she already did my hair - LASTLY I had to ask her to get my jacket she put away for me at the beginning of the appt DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Not impressed with the experience here at all. I was extremely specific with the details I provided when booking my appointment. I explained that I would like French waves, my extensions put in and cut and to be out at the very latest by 10.30. On the day I was charged $50 more than originally quoted for a very rushed job. My extensions were cut in the space of 5 minutes which I understand was due to the time constraints but if there wasn't enough time then they shouldn't have booked me in and told me they could do it in the first place. I left at 10.50 and my hair and the extensions were so obviously separated after 10 minutes of leaving that it looked ridiculous. Read Less

I booked in for the deluxe package for my 30th birthday, i walked in and everyone was bubbly and friendly and i felt very welcomed into their salon. I truly loved my hair, the stylist listened to what i wanted and the hair is exactly how i described but the makeup was horrible, it was a disaster! I showed the young makeup artist a picture of what i wanted which was a dark brown smokey eye. But she applied a silver glitter line above my mobile lid, not only was it not even the... silver line one being higher and longer than the other, one was even smudged. The black winged flicks of eyeliner were not even and one was thicker than the other and the individual lashes she applied didnt sit properly. Also she didnt colour match the foundation properly my face was much darker than my neck, I wouldnt have minded as much if she had applied the colour on my neck aswell so it all blended in. Not once did she ask what i was wearing or what colour jewellery i would have on, if she had asked she would know i was wearing gold and this random silver line she applied would not match. I've taken photos of what was applied, so if management would like to see you can contact me and i will send them through. For a salon who is well known for hair and makeup packages, I do believe you need to get a more experienced makeup artist who does through consultations and tasteful work. My daughter's hairstyle (for her Deb Ball) had looked amazing, however, my makeup and hair was very disappointing. I'd asked for soft waves and volume and instead, I had some curls, some waves, some straight and some spiky bits. I was mostly disappointed with my makeup. I had a young makeup artist, and I think she lacked the skills and attention to detail, and overall, it left rushed. I had to remove some of the makeup off at home prior to the event, and reapply my lipstick and eyeliner - my daughter said it looked much better after that. I'm glad that I'd booked my daughter's makeup at the M.A.C. counter at Myer instead of getting the package at Blo Bar. The M.A.C. makeup artist had done a truly professional job, and the bonus is you get to redeem the value of your makeup with products. Oh well, at least my daughter looked amazing in the end. I never got a massage at the basin and I feel like it was very rushed even though there was no one in there...
