I have left this for a few months to write this review as I didn’t want my disappointment or anger to come through as just another one of those horrible reviews. I am still in shock of what happened just before Christmas at splash of red in mornington. I wanted my hair to look and feel amazing over the Christmas and meeting new family with a new relationship I recently started, I thought to uplift myself. A Mum and a hard worker, I made the mission from rye to book myself in with splash of red and showed the hairdresser of the hair I wanted and was super excited, as these luxuries weren’t something I could get always with limited time, with work and being a mother. I walked out with my hair bright red, which is not what I asked for at all. My head looked literally like a siren, it was bright red and did not suit me at all. I couldn’t say anything on the day, cos I’m not one to complain but I cried. I cried the following day and then the next and then called through to complain. I spoke with Michelle the manager, who suggested to come back in at some other point and spend another 4 hours, between work over Christmas, school holidays and travelling 40 minutes either way, she was not remorseful of how inconvenient all of this was. She put me in to fix my hair two weeks later and made out they were doing me a favour to do what they should have done right in the first place. No refund, no care and a heap of negative attitude on their behalf, I wish I never went there. They are at the bottom of Main Street for good reason. I had to live with that hair over Christmas and was ashamed of the photos with my hair the way it was. It made me extremely uncomfortable. Terrible result. A friendly environment, and I felt very welcome and attended to. Mel coloured my hair and was superb in listening and understanding what I wanted her to achieve. She took the time before the treatment to go through my likes and dislikes very thoroughly. I was so impressed with the colour that I went back for a style cut a few weeks later.
