Love this place! I’m very particular about my pedicures, and this is one of three places in the entire city of Melbourne I would go to (I’ve tried too many to count). The ladies are very efficient, and the result is always perfect. I like that they actually take care of your nails (cleaning the edges, etc.) instead of just trimming here and there. I only do regular nail polish (not gel/shellac), and it’s important to me that they have a good selection of regular nail polish with a good brand (OPI in their case). I would say about four different people worked on me, and that result made my nails all different shapes and sizes. The prices are the most I have ever paid in my life, and that’s me going to nail a salon for over ten years at least once a month. The staff were nice, but the vibe was very tense and not relaxing. Service: Manicure, File & Polish (normal colour) The owner/manager here is great! I have been lucky to have her do my nails, on every visit. Always happy with the quality of the service. She's very fast as well, so it's great for dropping by on your lunch breaks for a quick pamper, if you're not blessed with a lot of time. Price is reasonable ($18 for file and colour only, a little extra to inc. full manicure ) The only minor issue is not that many colour options however, they do have a nice and simple variety to chose from. I came here the other day for a soft gel manicure. My experience started off pretty good, the ladies were all warm and friendly, they had a nice gel color selection, and it was quiet as I was the only one there. Within around 10 minutes more people started showing up and they started getting busy. The lady who was doing my nails left me for a minute to help with the new customers, as the other technician's English wasn't as good (or that's how the situation seemed), and it ended up being that the lady who initially started with my nails left to work with the other customers and was replaced by the other technician part way through my manicure. My new technician seemed to be rushing and trying to speed through my manicure probably so that she could finish to help the other customers. She was going so fast she was being quite rough and it almost felt as though she wasn't giving my nails enough time to dry under the UV machine. Finally when she finished, she didn't apply any cuticle oil, which I feel is pretty standard practice for any nail studio ( at least from my past experience). I left the salon feeling like I overpaid for my experience in general, and the cost was pretty normal/average. I totally understand wanting to get to other customers and trying to be quick, but I feel that time and care should still be given to each customer, even if it takes ever so slightly longer. I really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, and I initially did because I've experienced that kind of behavior and treatment at typical busy nail salons, but, within a day I have a small area that has started chipping, and parts of my nail feel brittle, weak and is starting to break off. I'm also noticing that she also missed a bit of the sides of one of my nails. Overall I'm pretty unsatisfied with my experience, especially given that I came here because the reviews were so positive. I would consider going back to give it a second chance, but will probably opt to try another place first before coming back. 3 stars still cause I've definitely had better but I've definitely had worse. I live in country Vic and come to Melbourne several times a month. I will never go anywhere else to have my nails done when in town. Today I took my girls for our school holiday girls day out. Every time you traders treat us like family! My girls 13 and 12 look forward to this each holiday. My nails are perfect as usual and the girls are so happy! Profession, clean and fast.
