I came in with brittle, paper thin nails to have shellac removed and try to save them. Kinga was soooo amazing, she removed the shellac without causing further damage, made my stumpy little naked nails look pretty, and put together a plan for me so I can go back to having strong nails and shellac soon without damage She is the best! Honestly, it's really disappointing that your pedicures are $50 and all you get is your cuticles pushed back, a buff, and some polish. Not even any lotions, no exfoliation, nothing. I could've painted my own nails. The only saving grace was Maddi, she was absolutely delightful, warm, and welcoming. It doesn't feel good writing this, but I didn't feel good walking out of your salon either. Read Less

I got gel nails done here just before my holiday, I was expecting a great quality job, but I got the opposite. I believe it was the owner doing my nails, and she filed down the side of one of my nails so much that she was filing the skin, it was very painful. When I left, I looked at my nails, and around the cuticles it was all uneven, and you could see where the brush strokes had been, and at the end of half my nails, they were also uneven and looked so unprofessional. Looked like a home job. She also told me that the nails wouldn't fall off, keeping in mind I believe it was a $70-$80 job, they fell off within 1 week of having them, and they broke and chipped. Absolutely amazing !! The girls are fantastic, clean fresh and inviting feels like I'm sitting there with my girlfriends having a coffee. Relaxed atmosphere. I can get my nails, waxing, pedicure and spray tan all without running around to 4 different places. Also I brought all my make up for my night out. The girls were so fantastic helping me choose my nail polish out of the fantastic range of colours they have available every colour for every occasion. I am so extremely disappointed. I came to Glos Nailbar yesterday with my sister and mother to get our nails done for my sisters wedding tomorrow. This morning while washing my hair the nail polish came completely off one of my fingers. The nail polish did not even last 24 hours!!! And of course Glos Nailbar is closed today so I cannot even have it fixed in time for the wedding. So disappointing! Read Less

I recently went to Glos Nailbar to have my toenails painted and had a terrible experience.  Upon finding a white mark on my friend's toenail the nail technician asked where we had last had our nails done.  My friend explained that we had had them done in Melbourne at Tips and Toes. At this the nail technician leant in, hushed her voice and said 'it wasn't one of those Asian places was it?'.  She was obviously inferring that  'those Asian places' are bad which is not only incorrect but stinks of racism. I asked her 'what difference does it make?' trying to challenge her at which she just glared at me dismissively.  Firstly, it is ignorant to describe a place that may be somewhat or entirely staffed with people from Asian descent as one of 'those Asian places'.  There are many different countries in what we know as 'Asia' and the diversity between different cultures and countries is huge.  Further,  have always had good experiences at places of staffed by Filipino and Thai people.  Yet obviously one Thai person may be a great nail technician and the next not so good.  The same goes for Australian people.  The point being that you can't judge people on their race.  The technician obviously thought nailbars staffed by people who are of Asian descent inferior. I think that this nail technician's negative idea of 'those Asian places' wasn't so much backed by evidence of bad service but by racism towards people who are not white.  Do not bother with Glos Nailbar if you want to have a relaxing experience, do not bother if you are person of colour, do not bother if you want a racism free pedicure! Unfortunately White Australia lives on in Glos Nailbar, Geelong West. Read Less
