Absolutely disgusting experience. One young worker was particularly rude and disrespectful. Had me soak my hands in acetone for 40 minutes to try and squeeze in a lot of other customers in the mean time. When I said it was irritating my hands she was very rude about it. Still, she did not start on my nails for 15 minutes. By this time it was nearly closing time so she rushed the process and my nails are all very different shapes.

Worst experience for an eyebrow tint and wax. I'm not sure why they offer the service as they are clearly not trained in how to perform. Both eyebrows different colour darkness and patchy then the wax..... the lady waxing applied wax above eyebrow then once dry slowly.... oh so very slowly peeled it off. Then under the brow from the arch back applied wax and again ever so slowly picking it off. No shaping no maintence done around the start of the brow in between the brows. Both brows now different shapes.
So now due to incompetence I have to wait for them to grow, and have mis shaped and coloured brows for 6-7 weeks. Don't offer a service if you don't know how to complete. I would like to have asked for her certificate of compenetnce in waxing after we were done, but since the older woman in charge could see how bad of a job and how not happy I was she quickly ushered me out of the salon. Worst pedi I've ever had. I will start off my saying I'm sure these girls mean well and were smiley and nice. So I am not attempting to vilify anyone in this review. However I think it's important to let people know how appalling my experience was.
I went in at my appointment time for a fresh gel pedi and removal of old gel. I was sat in a standard pedi massage chair and a lady started on my feet. Unfortunately she didn't speak any English so when she started trying to rip off the gel on my toes with a cuticle nipper she didn't understand my words of horror. I was asking her to please soak off the gel, which is of course how any gel should be removed (just picking it off takes the surface of your nail with it and weakens them). She didn't understand what I was saying. Eventually someone else stepped in to explain to the lady what I was asking for and assured me "ok we'll soak it off for you".
Soaking off gel with acetone generally takes around 10 minutes, whereby you should check the progress and if the gel doesn't slide away easily with an orange stick, the soaking should continue a little more. Instead, at around 5 minutes, the lady came back and started trying to hack off the gel with a cuticle pusher. I didn't really have the heart to step in a second time (and it was embarrassing) so I let her. However I did have to step in when she gave up and just tried to buff all the gel from my nails, not taking much care to avoid my actual nails. In the end I sort of just got a combination of the gel being peeled off with the cuticle pusher and some buffing.
Oh well. We moved onto the pedi which was find except that there wasn't a clear indication of whether the tools had been sanitised - they didn't open a new pack like many salons do. I just looked away so I didn't have to think about the fact that I was pretty sure someone else's dead skin was on that scraper tool they use on the bottom of your feet.
The nail trim was another disaster. I guess they wanted to hurry up my pedi because the girl who'd stepped in to translate before took one foot and the original lady took the other. So of course the nails on each foot look quite different in length and shape. I explained I wanted just a slight trim and to maintain my square shape. I now have very very short nails that are also uneven with respect to each other (even with respect to toes on the same foot). Pretty ugly.
The first lady then left and the lady who had translated did the gel application - I got the impression she was more trained than the first who's job it might be to just do the prep? Just guessing though.
The gel application also wasn't great - some of the gel has been allowed to well up at my cuticle and sides of the nail. This means as the nails grow, where the gel was baked on to my skin, it will easily flick up and come off so the pedi won't last long at all.
The price was $50 which is a little more than I've paid elsewhere, and ridiculous given that I doubt the first lady had much training at all and given the quality of the service.
Needless to say this was not at all relaxing as a I sat watching in terror. I also have not ended up with a great job regarding the shape of my nails and the application of the gel.
Definitely won't be back. Read Less
