Prices are good and quality is consistent; I have been a frequent customer for the last 3 years and have only been back once to have something redone because I got a piece of fluff stuck in my polish which neither of us noticed until I had left. Good range of services and efficient. It gets busy so having a booking is a good idea but they will always try to fit you in. Ruined my nails. So confused by the good reviews. Maybe I was just unlucky...they didn't cure my nails under the UV properly. Everything bubbled and peeled. They fixed two of them. But over the next week everything peeled off taking the top few layers of my nail with it. My nails are now short thin and ridged. So unhappy. They're nice. Popped in 11am on Valentine’s Day on the off chance they could fit me in, happy to serve me, wonderful mani/pedi, great massage chair, not too strong. I left the salon with perfect nails which I was 100% happy with, which is very rare. The prices are extremely affordable as well. I have been to this salon twice, I had SnS the first time I went. It cracked on two fingers in the first week. I had never had SnS before but friends of mine who have it a lot say its very unusual. I decided to go again because its very close to my house and this time I had Shellac. My manicure was on Sunday and its now Tuesday morning and three nails have already chipped. Came here to get my acrylics taken off and the girl seemed angry that I didn't want a fill and tried to convince me several times after I continued saying no. She did one hand fine but the other she was in an obvious rush and left them all different lengths and with a chip in one. Always happy with the results. I get my shelacs re-done every 2-3 weeks here. I shape my own nails cause I'm particular, but they do a good job of shaping too if needed. I'm a regular so when I walk in, they already know what I want and what my favourite colour is! They have a loyalty card, however I don't bother. Decent price $25. Read Less

Expensive and just okay. Walked in for a basic pedicure, it's a whopping $35. No design no nothing. It's titled "deluxe" on their menu, but they did nothing to make it deluxe. Sub par foot scrub, no foot massage,  minimal moisturizer thereafter, no official place to dry your toes other than right there on the pedi spa, for however long it takes. The setting: my chipping nails were driving me crazy.  Free afternoon off from sightseeing.  Yelp to the rescue for a quick mani!Though Downtown Nail Spa only had 2 reviews, I gave it a try, since they had appointment openings.  Usual price for a mani is $20 AUD, but there was a promotion that Thursday for $18.  Score!I was out in less than 30 minutes.  The service is no frills (you'll dry your final coats of polish in front of a mini fan before leaving) and quick.  I noticed they didn't push my cuticles back here, but that's fine with me, as I cringe at that part of a mani anyway.  I was also pleasantly surprised that I didn't see any chips in my sparkly blue polish until the 4th day and after 2 crossfit workouts to boot!  Booyah!  Def recommend. Too convenient! Located in Spencer Street - Downtown Nail Spa has saved my life on many occasion.The staff actually know their stuff and do a great job. I was disappointed to find this business closed one Sunday, yet this business is normally open 7 days a week. How bizarre. I was really disappointed on this occasion because the service is truly top notch, yet so affordable. Personally, the eyebrow waxing never disappoints, and it will only cost you $10 a pop - a great investment to your self confidence. The staff are friendly; they always smile and are ultra efficient. My eyebrows are waxed and shaped beautifully. Why wax your eyebrows yourself when you have this great business in Docklands to provide this service for you?There was a situation before an important appointment to get my New South Wales drivers license converted into a Victorian one that one needed her eyebrows waxed fast, and Downtown Nail Spa once again delivered. Amen to that.It was only on one occasion that one was asked to come back later in the afternoon. In most cases you don't have to wait too long to be treated. Also the spa pedicure is worth it in the hot summer months.
