Most disgusting service ever. 3 different staff did my nails. 1of the staff cut me badly with the drill. The oldest lady Doh can’t did such an uneven job that within a week 5 nails had cracks and chips. I went back to get them fixed and she told me it was my fault and went to break my nails where the cracks where and I had to direct her to sook them off as it’s not my nails it’s the SNS on top. She acts like she is the boss and won’t give out anyone highers number. Minh the young girl with the glasses does a great job and nails last 4-5weeks. However never going back. Terrible staff. I have been there 3 times in one week to refill and have my shellac done then two days later they all scraped off. I went there and played calm about it and they said I'd have to pay for it. I argued over that and ended up not paying. They ended up doing "some" of my nails and not all. Turns out the colour was the same, but did not look the same as clearly it was a couple days after. They were rough and not understanding. They cut me while buffering and shrugged it off but was going to scream at them after but didn't want to make more of a scene than I already had. If I could rate it 0 I would. This place is beyond terrible. The staff are rude, the jobs are expensive but rushed. I had got an Sns service there. They did them so week and thin one of them snapped within two days of having it. They then charged me to fix it and even told me to my face 'it's not our fault you are rough on your nails' which is utter bullshit because that's the second time ever I've snapped a nail in my life. Went here on Wednesday to get shellac. Usually get this and have never had a problem. It was obvious the colour I picked was running low but they didn't ask me to choose another. They did the job and it looked fine just a bit thin but whatever. It wasn't until they started peeling that I thought I'd go back to get them fixed the next day. The girl rushed a fix job and I asked are you sure the rest that haven't peeled will be ok, I was told yes but went home and sure enough they peeled. Went in for a third time the following day and dealt with the woman in charge who was rude to me and came across as telling me off for it saying it's never happened before etc and basically wanted me to stop talking about it. She was rude and made me feel uncomfortable. Mind you not once did I lose my cool. As she roughly finished I saw another nail about to peel so showed her and she put a small amount of top coat on my nail and left it, sure enough as soon as I walked out it peeled off. For the next 24 hours three to four nails peeled at least half way off. Called for a refund today got told I'll have a discount next time but safe to say I won't be going back ever again! I asked can I at least come and get this removed because it looked horrible and they agreed. I just left there in tears because I was made to feel horrible again the lady in charge was rude and appeared to be angry at me! I'm the one that wasted my money I should be angry but still I was nothing but calm. They roughly filed my nails off and funnily enough I've just looked at them to see damage and little bits of shellec left on at the bottoms! I was once a loyal customer to this place but after being left having my nails scraped off while I sat there in tears for being treated so poorly, it's safe to say I will never ever recommend or go to star nails again. Luckily there was a lovely customer who chatted to me while I was upset so at least I didn't have to be completely alone while being ignored at that stage. By far the worst experience I have had getting my nails done! It was a rushed job and the girl used the wrong colour. I asked SNS so because she started using the wrong colour and then put more coats over the top, the end result was very thick and uncomfortable. She filed my nails so short that my fingers looked like stumps. When I said something the girl got angry and rushed even more. It got to the point that I told her to stop because I didn't want to be there anymore. But of course I still had to pay $45 for the crap nails. Happy birthday to me.... Read Less

Conveniently located at university hill shopping area, as the name suggests Star Nails has a focus on nails, but I can recommend coming here for waxing. I love that you can pop in without needing to have made an appointment, very convenient on the weekend when you're stretched for time. A selection of shops nearby also handy. Read Less
