Hairdresser review: 'Leo" is always fantastic, has no problem doing whatever I ask for. 5 stars for him! So is the older guy (unsure of name!) Theres a not so great English speaking woman whos really friendly and did an AMAZING job of my eyebrows. But NEVER again will I be letting one of thegirls near my hair. Especially for someone who appeared to be teaching the guys there. The colour was lovely but gone IN 2 DAYS after paying extra for it to be bleached (honestly dont think the bleaching itself took more than 5 mins) and using expensive recommended shampoo/ conditioner I truly believe it was not bleached properly and that is why the colour didnt stick. For "over 10 years experience" and the price I was completely unsatisfied. As for the hair cut , I wouldnt have even called it a trim. I went in for a new style- that certainly didn't happen! And on thedrive home I was constantly finding more dead ends/ splits!! I spent soooo much that day for nothing. Any time I wish to go again I will have to seem rude and request one of the guys. I got my eyebrows waxed here and it wasn't a good experience. The lady handed me the mirror and there was still wax on one eyebrow and they were really uneven. She tried to fix it but made it worse. I told her to stop before she totally screwed them up and she left me with bright red skin with no aloe Vera or anything to soothe them. Pay a bit more and get a good job done elsewhere. Read Less

I go to this salon every two weeks and have done for, well for a long time.  I could go anywhere probably to have my nails done but the girls here are friendly, efficient, accommodating and I'm always happy with the results. They get loads of customers "dropping in" unannounced and they are always welcoming and open, never getting irritated at the disruption to their work schedules - it's very well priced too with student and pensioner discounts.  High recommended Read Less

New Stars Nails is a fairly new store down at the Old Port Canal Shopping Centre. I'm not really the kind of girl who goes to get her nails done, but I was with a friend of mine and she was interested so we went in and checked it out. It wasn't too expensive and the service was satisfactory. The staff were friendly, and I would give the store another star just for that but I'm not going to. This isn't the kind of place I would go to or visit regularly, there are much better beauty places to go to when you're in need of a manicure. Read Less
