Let’s chat about my experience. When visiting this salon, ensure that you use specific terms. If you want oval nails, ‘round’ will get your square with round corners - a miscommunication on my behalf but its something to be mindful of. ENSURE you look at the displayed prices. If you’re going in to get a set of acrylic nails, with just normal polish (no shellac) and an easy shape (square/square with round corners), they have it advertised as $35. Do not pay more for that unless you got a different polish or a different shape. They tried to charge me $50 initially, then $40. In saying this, take cash. You can be ripped off if you only have the $35 advertised. Also, the staff are very friendly! BUT, be prepared to say no to shellac if you don’t want it and be prepared to be questioned (almost mocked) on your choice if its bold. Your best chance for speedy and attentive service is around 3:30, but in saying that they are not afraid to literally scrap the paint from previous clients off the table you are sitting at, in preparation to close. 3 times that I have been here and had a terrible job done on my nails. I had recently had shellac done on my nails here and not even being 4 days, they are already chipping. The job was very rushed and i had already waited 45 minutes to get them done. Very surprised as i've had much better, and much friendlier experiences at other nail salons. Not going back here again. Horrible experience!! Dirty tissues side of desk! Old dirty nail files. Nails were not the shape i wanted and i was told it was the best they can do and to leave as i was causing trouble! Whaaaaaat? I've been Coming with my friend to metro Nails now for 1years and I would never go anywhere else, it's like my second home, the staff are amazing ...it's a great atmosphere , lovely people, always up to chat and have a laugh, the work they do is fantastic! In 1years I've never had a reason to complain...good quality, they take their time with each customer and my friend nails are perfect every single time! Worst experience ever. I wanted my fake nails off and instead of telling me it would be better to leave them on and have them redone as they were still as stuck on as they were when I first got them, the guy destroyed my nails. Basically ripped off my pinky nail and put a bit cut that bled in another. I ended up walking out and going to another salon that fixed them as best they could. We love to attend the Sunday afternoon barbecues with live music. The barbecue is always great. Beer and drinks are good as well. We've made seeing Paul Thorn there an annual event. Today I went in for a full set of acrylic ombre nails, after showing pictures and being reassured throughout the appointment that it would blend when she was finished, what I was left with was terrible, patchy and un blended. When I spoke to , who I can only assume was the owner, I was told he wouldn't fix it because it would cost him in gas and electricity. I then asked for a full refund, which was refused and then after much disagreement his only offer was to remove them ...and only give me half of what I paid back. Terrible customer service. The setting is fantastic - nothing like being out in the golden / green hills of California. The food is fair - really nothing to write home about. But our server was really amateur: I had to ask for the specials after over-hearing another server recite them for another table; took forever to get a glass of wine and things just came out very slowly. I'd go back again because the location is dreamy - eating on the patio under the California buckeyes. But next time I'm going to keep a tight rein on who is serving if signs show them missing even the first beat. Read Less

Had my nails done today with colour. I was left with my little pinky in pain after she had forcefully ripped off all my acrylics making one of my pinkies bleed. The ladies were rude and aggressive when dealing with my nails. One lady was even sick as she kept on sniffling. Over all the colour was nice and the guy was friendly and was nice offering us drinks. They worked under pressure like fast. .faster faster and not really very friendly. I was not satisfied with my pedicure . They massaged my feet not even 5 minutes. Well there are other good or better places i have been so this place is for me not really recommendable. Read Less

I thought I would treat myself to mani/pedicure and shellac so i tried Metro Nails and Beauty at Woodcroft. I left with two toes bleeding and painful due to them cutting to my skin away, my shellac is see through and half way up the skin on my finger nail. The shellac shellac seemed watered down or something which left a dull, lumpy, see through finish. Overall I wasn't really happy and unfortunately won't be recommending or visiting again. Read Less

I am a painful client and travel to get my nails done only for me to come home re shape and paint. Mia done my nails. Told her I wanted to buff in to shape and she can paint. Well loved her work allowed her to shape and buff 1 nail as a trial. Walked out nails complete so thrilled. 5 star rating isn't high enough. Read Less
