Loved this place and was a frequent customer until today. I went into get my nails filled, after I left I noticed that the gel clear top coat on 8 out of ten nails was not brought to the tip of my nail. So most of my nails have bumpy, dull, ruff tips. I went back not even 15 minutes later and the owner was rude and said I would have to wait for them to finish their current clients and the other four waiting. His words .....a long wait. When I protested at that he yelled at me that I should've called before I came back and I wouldn't have to wait. I think it's ridiculous to pay $35 plus tip for sloppy unfinished nails and have to wait twice to have them done right. If you decide to come here make sure you are completely satisfied prior to paying for the service. Read Less

I have been going to Hello Nails & Spa for just about an year now, I have always done the walk in thing and they will get me in and out in about 45 minutes. 😊 I have had my nails done professionally for over 20 years, just about a year ago I have become allergic to one of the before solutions, after going to two other local Nail salons and they telling me I need to just stop getting my nails done, I decided to try one more place. The professionals at Hello Nails & Spa figure out which of the solutions I am allergic to and they use a different solution for my nails and I am happy that I can still get my nails done. I used to love this place but my last few times were not great. I decided to give it one more try and went in for a pedicure and a manicure for a wedding I was attending. My pedicure was okay , but not as long or as attentive as usual. In the middle of my manicure , the guy cut into my cuticle and made it bleed. He was so freaked out about it that I felt bad for him. I mean, it can happen. He put alcohol on it, which stung like crazy and didn't really stop the bleeding. When I was done the manager guy apologized ( kinda/ sorta) and gave me $5 off. Really. Unfortunately not one of the better nail places around by far. Have gone about 4 times and the last couple times have seen how the treat other customers who have appointments they are too busy. Plus needing a fill before second week not happened before This last time my mom had a metallic put on which was done like eyeshadow looked ok but did not stay chipped and came off in a day so just went and was charged $20 for her to do a lil sanding to get off and paint red. we pay way to much to not have what we want,defective and then pay again! This place was so unprofessional the male manager was rude. I went there yesterday and paid $40 for a full set which was fine until I left there and got home my nails were uneven, they did not look shiny. It looked like I had the nails on for 2 weeks and already needed a fill. I told him than if it can't be done right I want you to take my nails off and refund me my money back, he said if he were to do that I would only get half of it back because they spend an hour of there ...time doing my nails. I told him yeah if you guys would have done it right the first time I wouldn't have had to come back and ask for nothing. He ended up fixing my nails but while i was sitting there (only 30 mins) 3 other people came in with chipped nails, uneven nails and chipped toenails. I also got my eye brows waxed and it looked like they didn't even wax them. We went back there today the guy was so rude gave me attitude and talked to me like I was stupid and also gave my sister attitude because all she asked was for them to fix her 1 nail because the paint had already chipped off, he told her no I'm not doing your nail today come back tomorrow because I need a warranty card (which she had) he said there was no warranty on fills. She said than why do I have a warranty card than it does not say the specifics on the warranty card and she only paid $5 less than me. So anyways worst experience that I have ever gotten. For 4 years both my sister and I kept with one other salon. But her & I then tried Hello Nails ONCE & we have been going for a year now. They are always busy but I am fortunate enough to make it by 930 twice a month to see MINDY! Great service, great products for both manicures & pedicures, nails last forever, reasonable on price, clean, sanitary, relaxing & for those who have a bad experience, sorry you felt that way. I have been coming here faithfully since they opened and they used to be excellent ... But the last few times I have gone here the service has been terrible !!!!! I will have an appointment and I still have to wait over 30 minutes my nails do come out fabulous every single time but again customer service is everything in there is none here!! Yesterday was the final straw for me there was nobody waiting ahead of me I was the only person waiting I was told the wait would be 5 to 10 minutes ... So I waited. When 30 minutes came up I was like am I going to be seen soon he said five more minutes ... In total I ended up waiting 55 minutes until I ended up getting up and leaving!!! The constant nagging from the owner drove me insane. I went to get my nails done and all I heard was all about microdermabrasion and this skin care and that skin care and how much better my skin will look.. I spent half hour hearing this to the point I felt like shit about my skin so I agreed to have the microdermabrasion as well.. It was lovely yes but I shouldn't of been pushed and pushed until I said ok. They lost me as a customer for that, my nails looked great and I would of loved to of been a regular to them but unfortunately the nagging made it a unpleasant experience and also the fact that I wanted my nails done for 50 dollars and because of the way they pressured me into the microdermabrasion I ended up spending 330.. The Nail Connection was a disconnect. I booked an appointment a day prior and when I arrived the owner/nail technician was flustered and seemed to have difficulty getting the necessary tools together to get started - 10 minutes later.... Over the course of the next hour she completed my manicure (luke warm soak and shaping then painted my nails... VERY BASIC and seemingly amateurish job when compared with the dozens (and dozens) of mani/pedis I have had in my life. Meanwhile her daughter did an equally poor job on my nail. I had to coach her repeated to be more aggressive in pushing back the cuticle and she had to shape and reshape my nails... Urg! Not at all a relaxing experiencing - especially as I had to fend off the NOT SO SUBTLE and ongoing sales pitch by "mom" on various skin care products. I was so irritated by the conclusion of my booking that I practically ran out the door - didn't even bother commenting on the messy and child like shellac job ... When I initially booked I was under the impression this was to be a basic mani/pedi ($50 for both) and almost passed out when I was charged $90 for the absolute worst mani/pedi I have ever received. On the way homeI promptly stopped at the chemist and bought a cuticle nipper and spent 30 additional minutes working on my nails and cuticles to make them look half way decent. Read Less

Just had my daughters 15th BD party there with her & 6 of her friends. Very clean, very professional. Great set up for private parties. They all got pedicures & cute polish. Beautiful place and polite staff. Only thing is cash only. Highly recommend it though. Kid & friends are happy. Read Less

Stick with nailsI know the clue is in the name "the Nail Connection",  however desperately seeking a new eyebrow shaper and being in the wrong place at the right time I ventured into the unknown ... an eyebrow shape and tint from a nail salon. Yes - I should have known better.My first experience was not brilliant. Within 1 hour of waxing/tinting my left eyebrow was very sore, red and irritated. A call the next morning did not reassure me - a very nonchalant and apathetic warning not to have applied an oily substance to the irritation (evidently it makes the burn worse - who knew) and that I could come in and buy some aloe gel to soothe. Mmm - not exactly following the customer service 101 rule book.However, I stupidly went back for a second time (blame laziness and convenience)  and after explaining the previous outcome was reassured it would never happen again. I was relieved to find that I had escaped damage and made a third appointment.Uh oh - third visit replicated the first except worse - the week before Christmas saw me with a burn on my eyelid and a flaking scab - just the sort of look you want for Christmas/New Year.
