Since moving to the Gold Coast 16 years ago I've been a loyal customer of Nail Affair. I've followed Caroline from place to place finally now settled in her beautiful warm cosy Salon at Robina. Caroline's warm and friendly service is of high quality standards. Nothing is ever of a trouble and goes out of her way to accommodate your needs. Her warm Nature to all her clients is outstanding. The prices are affordable for all. I have recommended family and friends both local and interstate and have nothing but praise for the staff at Nail Affair. I myself as well as family and friends have an ethnic background. Never once was I made to feel like an outcast or racial comments thrown my way.... I feel I should express this is as I came across a woman known as Stephanie who has accused caroline as a Racists Person. Really!!!!!... And you've known her for how long?????.. Stephanie maybe you should take a hard look at yourself before lashing out accusations about a person You Don't Know!!!!... Get your facts right first before ruining a persons reputation you don't even know.... My mum and i had a very bad experience after getting our nails done! My nails were all off within 2 weeks and after 6 weeks my mums began falling off and the glue they used on her literally ate through her own nails to the point ALL of the actual nails are broken off half way down with exposed raw weeping skin underneath, a few became very infected and she actually needed antibiotics! We private messaged Nail Affair to let them know of what had happened as we hoped to settle this incident privately and it was read instantly however we never received a reply. VERY VERY unhappy with the way this was NOT dealt with, we do not appreciate being ignored! PLEASE NO ONE GO HERE!!! Read Less

By far the worst experience ever. I asked for a manicure and pedicure shellac nail job and ended up with a half finished job. This was done by the younger girl in the salon who in my opinion and as a result of her inexperience, should not even be doing nails. The shellac on my hands is patchy and the sides of my nail have no colour on them. After telling her to please fix the colour along the sides, she replied by telling me "it is coloured!" and refused to fix her error. This is by far the least of my concerns today, not to add the disappointment of having to sit on a broken pedicure massage chair (usually the highlight of getting a pedicure in a salon). Even if the nail job was done adequately, I would still not return to their salon after hearing the racist comments that came out of Caroline's (the owner's) mouth. She made comments about wanting to "own" Mexicans to do her house work, cook and clean and how good would it be to have them do your lawn and make your food for you and have them live in your home all for your convenience. This is not only the most arrogant comment I have ever heard, but it was beyond offensive. I am Hispanic and whether I look it or not, does not give her a right to talk about anyone that way. One thing is being and acting entitled, but degrading another person's culture or ethnicity is unacceptable. Not to mention the comment of the lady beside me getting her nails done by Caroline adding 'that it would be better to get a Filipino' as they are 'more gentle'. What is wrong with these women? I have never been so offended in my life. I sat there and listened to this conversation about 30 minutes while getting my nails done. Caroline mentioned that she wouldn't get Mexican housekeepers because they are rude. Well, let me just say that if Mexican, Hispanic, Central or South Americans were rude or ignorant as you think we are, then I would have told you where to go and disrespected you in front of your clients. No instead I came home and cooled off and decided to write a review of my experience in your salon so everyone can know how disrespectful you are (and your employee - which was laughing while you were making your comments). Racism is alive and well. If anyone has the slightest respect for themselves and others , please avoid this nail salon. Not only will your nails look like crap - but you will also receive a very educational experience by someone whose gone to 5-star resort in Mexico and evidently knows so much about the culture in her one week stay that she will be able to share it with you all.Read Less
