If you want a quick, cheap-ish manicure and you don't care if they damage your nails or if up close the mani looks poorly done, then go here. Perhaps the senior technicians are qualified, but the two who worked on me obviously weren't - they were not using any of the products according to the manufacturers' directions (I know because I have identical products and equipment) e.g. curing a Gelish base coat with an LED light for 90 seconds instead of 10, curing colours for almost two minutes instead of 30 secs. My nail plate was massacred by their files and I'm still trying to grow out the damage. They cured gel polish all over my skin. Jagged edges were left on my nail edge, that I had to file off when I got home. Top coats were not applied adequately so I had to apply another coat myself. Tips were not wrapped at all. The polish on my toes was not opaque and was very poorly applied (see photos). Not to mention they initially placed my feet in a used foot spa by accident - they thought it was funny, I applied an anti-fungal treatment when I got home. The ladies are lovely and very fast. But the standard of work is poor, they need training and to follow the product directions. I usually do my own nails but I had just received some awful news and thought a professional mani and pedi would cheer me up - instead it made me feel disappointed and like I'd wasted my money. They do nice basic nails, however, if you’re looking to get your nails removed, don’t go here. I wish someone had posted about this earlier because I would’ve saved myself a great deal of pain, and $20 :/ I paid $20 for a girl to use some random thick tools to remove them herself and it actually felt like I was having my real nails ripped off. She knew I was in pain and kept going, telling me it was almost over. I don’t usually associate going into a nail salon with pain so this was really unpleasant. When I left, I looked at my fingers and they were purple and so sore. After this experience I’m never going back. Read Less

Always had great service! My nails always look great, but after a couple of weeks they need a touch up, and from experience that normal. I am happy when I can find the boss as she speaks English and I can ask her questions. The ladies are learning how to react with us westerners every day, and we are as hard to understand as they are, have some patience and relax and enjoy your experience. Yes they need to fix massage chairs I agree. W Read Less

Do not base your opinion on the previous negative review. I go here every week because my job requires my nails to always be fresh. I drive over half an hour to this salon. I could go anywhere else. The staff are friendly and highly trained and always do such a great job. If you ever want to change something they do. I have seen the bad review and it makes me so mad. I wish to point out several things; •YES English is not their first language. Good luck finding somewhere who has all Australian staff. The person who wrote the review is an obvious racist. I am from nz and we are multicultural and accepting. Anyone who speaks more than one language is amazing to me! It's a talent and something to be admired. •Following the above, I am able to converse with anyone who does my nails. They always get what I am wanting right. So saying they speak no English is a lie. •I get a pedicure every week. The massage chairs are good Enough to sleep in and NEVER have I seen a broken one. They are near brand new! •either the salon manager or the owner, Pamela are always there. •and now to defend the most silly of all... have you ever had a pedicure where they refuse you nail polish? I think the person writing the review was desperate to come up with another lie. For me that part actually made me laugh that anyone could believe, even after asking for nail polish, that all 4 of you would be refused nail polish. Hahaha! It just a joke and that person sounds like such an annoying, ungrateful, needy customer. Because I know the girls here, I think their salon would be better off without that negativity xx See you soon you beautiful people! Keep smiling x Read Less

They don't even deserve one star but have to do it. The name professionail used in their logo business name but unfortunately they don't even know the meaning of it. All non English speaking asian that all know how to to charge people nothing else. They don't know how pedicure is done. We went 4 people to do pedicure. They just washed our feet i asked them twice to put nail polish but they didn't listen n 1 person was there for four of us. No supervised person on top of them or manager. All massage chairs weee broken n made sounds. We paid $150 for just wet out feet n use their broken massage chairs. I don't recommend anyone to go or use this place. Very disappointed. Read Less

Staff is nice and salon is clean, but the service is quite average I have to say. I've gone here several times now, but I have to say the ladies are mainly great at painting nails, however the pedicure itself (i.e. scrubbing etc) is not done well. I've never come out with soft heels or anything, although my feet are really not in such bad condition.I think the main problem is the management of customers is not well done. It's a walk-in system with first come, first serve - however the staff gets hectic when there many customers coming in. I've had twice or three times the lady doing my pedicure leaving me half-done to take care of new customers. As I understand vietnamese too, I've heard her saying to her colleagues that she wanted to start on the new customer, so that one wouldn't leave. She was told off by another girl to go back to me, and she apologised to me, but still it's not a good way to make me feel pampered! After she painted my nails, she left me on the chair to go take care of that new customer. No instruction how long to wait, no goodbye. The first time I've come to the salon, I sat on the pedicure chair waiting a full 20 minutes as they had customers to attend but didn't want to lose me. So they told me to sit down but didn't start pedicure for a long time.I guess the walk-in system doesn't work well or they are often understaffed and get nervous.I've also noticed that if they have lots of customers, they tend to court first the western customers. I had only once a manicure done and it was the same - good with painting nails but below average for the clean up prior to it.Overall - average place if you need a quick manicure/pedicure, a nice color or are not so fuss on getting a proper soft feet/hands results. I really don't care what everyone say about how these places are dodgy because they only hire people that are vietnamese, and they don't wash their basins or utensils properly.  Poppycock I say.  BS.  Rubbish.  I will now tell you why.I spoke to a girl working here when she was doing my pedicure and she was actually a UQ Accounting student, another lady has 2 kids, works part time to get some extra income.  They are everyday people just like you and me.  They all just happen to be vietnamese..  maybe it's a trust issue.  The owners seem to be family friends with all the girls working there, who cares.  It's like a kebab shop run by greeks.  Come on people let's not be so narrow minded.Anyway, I've been coming here for years, seeing I live in Mt Ommaney and they wash and sterilize their instruments just as much as the other nail place, they scrub down their pedicure stations after every person and they are pretty damn professional and friendly.  So yelpers yelp not here.  It is a great place to get a manicure and pedicure for $40.  They do quite a good job with acryllics, it's no wait, walk in and get serviced and judging by the repeat customers who come in droves requesting for a certain girl, they do pretty good repeat business too.I can't speak for the other franchises of Professionail, but this one is pretty good in my Yelpinion.  Which is worth its weight in Yelp.
