First of all I had booked prior to my appointment then once I had arrived they told me to come back later. I asked for a Manicure with a normal French Tip polish and the person who did my nails gave me gel nails instead which I really did not want. I have been getting my nails done here for quite a few months. I refuse to go elsewhere. The staff are so lovely and they always spend time trying to perfect the nails. I have had one staff who wasn’t as friendly but they are always chatting to me and doing a fantastic job. Love it. Read Less

I walked in to a lovely receptionist who let me know there was a wait for what I wanted and to come back at 11:30 after he took my details. I come back and waited another 30 minutes watching people who had not made a booking walk in a have their nails done straight away. After waiting I was then greeted by a rude staff member who told me I wasn’t able to get the style I wanted (which I’ve had many times before) who told me I wasn’t able to have the shape I wanted (again what I’ve had many times before) who then cut me with her machine watched me bleed and didn’t say a word about it, and then lastly didn’t let me get the colour I wanted because “it wouldn’t look good”. I then went to pay for my nails were the receptionist asked what made me change my mind of the style I wanted, I informed him that I wasn’t allowed to get it he then asked if I still liked my nails I told him no and he said oh then let me walk out. l went to this Salon for the first time today. The guy tending to incoming ciients, was great. He made my friend and l feel welcome. l am also happy with my nails, l had gel polish for $20, which is very affordable. However, l would not go back to this salon. Its quite dirty, if you are prone to infection l would not go there. l also felt that the lady who attended to me was not very customer friendly, l just felt awkward somehow. Also my friend complained about her shelac removed, being ripped off instead of being soaked 1st, but its cheap so she will go back again. Read Less

Today was my birthday, so I came in for a Mani and Pedi. During my pedi, the water was scolding hot, she missed my entire heel, massaged one leg for ages (if you even want to call it a massage) and the other for under 2 mins, she cut my naturally longer nails too short on one hand despite my asking not to cut them short. They changed technicians three times. One had to go back and redo part of my pedi after they had put gelcoat on, as I politely pointed out that it hasn't been done properly, only for the technician to be overally rough with my feet using the blade, file and hard sponge...she was clearly unhappy that I'd pointed this out despite being polite and even trying to joke about it to lighten the mood (it didn't work). My gel nail polish was rushed. One technician was clearly a trainee. I don't give negative reviews like this often, but the unprofessionalism of your staff has left me with no option. Read Less

Wow just paid $40 for ABSOLUTE RUBBISH!!! Had some guy give me a pedicure and he rushed through it almost cutting the sides of my toes off with the cuticle snippers... then he used the heel exfoliating block without even watching and kept scrubbing the soft arch of my foot!!! I dont like confrontation so it was Super painfull and i suffered scilently... If i could give ZERO stars then i would as it was a pretty $h1tty experience especially when i very rarely splash out on this kind of thing for myself ... Read Less

Was very disappointed with the overall outcome last Saturday. Asked the female tech for Matte nails only to be told they dont look good with the colour i chose and every colour after that, so i came out not feeling good. But So happy now though, went elsewhere and will stay with them, they listened to what i wanted and i got the matte nails and dark colours do look great. So goodbye Helensvale. Read Less

Really hit and miss. They always try to tell you that you need a new set, even when you ask for an infill and it has only been two weeks. They won't soak them off unless you insist - so be prepared to be 'politely pushy' or accept that your nails will get thin and brittle from the damage. When I had a full set of acrylics here last time they were beautiful. The lady who did them was amazing. I had them infilled today and that lady was unavailable. It took this other staff member over an hour and she kept making mistakes, hurting me and getting frustrated and redoing things. I told her several times throughout the treatment that the shape and length was wrong but she disregarded me and said she'd fix it at the end. She didn't bother to look at the shape of my original nails and made them really square and bulbous. When I told her I wanted them round/oval, she made them thick, lumpy, lopsided and streaky and told me there was no way to fix that now unless she soak them off and start again. Anyway, while I usually leave happy with my pretty new nails, today I left disappointed. They are truely AWEFUL. So UGLY. The skill level of the employees here is HIGHLY VARIABLE, so you have to know the names of the good staff, insist on booking only them and be prepared wait. If you are a walk-in, you take your chances and you too could walk out with horrible nails. Seriously, I am booked into another salon tomorrow to have this set removed and replaced. Worst ever pedicure I've had! Usually use professional nails in Sydney areas and they are great but the Gold Coast Helensvale store completely shocking!! There is shallac all over my toes and feet. Nails roughy and not filed, smudged over. Scrapped the old shellac off didn't soak. Overall store not set up correct and really bad quality products. Had a spa pedicure today, and was very happy with the service. It consisted of a foot soak in warm water with the spa jets going, whilst sitting in the massage chair which was very relaxing. Toenails trimmed, filed & buffed, cuticles trimmed. Callouses scrubbed with a cream and file. Foot & leg massage with lotion and a polish of my choice. They have a great range of OPI nail polish too! A tip, go on a quiet day, you get a longer, more thorough service, in my opinion - on busy days it feels as though it is being rushed. Read Less
