Initially I was excited when I thought I finally found a nail salon that was close to home, had reasonable prices and great staff. However, my experience today has changed that. Three weeks prior I walked in, initially wanting to get a pedicure and a gel manicure. Yet, after speaking to Tammy, she convinced me that I should get get the brasi gel instead. She said the brasi set would last me three weeks and was better than the gel or SNS which I had previously used. When we di...scussed pricing, it was my understanding that my set would be $50 (since I didn't need extensions) and the fill-ins $35. Super reasonable, especially for central jersey. Today, I walked in for my appointment with Monica would did a good job; scheduled an appointment for my sister but froze for a second when the receptionist said that will be $45.00. Confused I asked why wasn't it the $35 Tammi told me it would be and then came the comment it's always been $45 which was of course surprising to me. To be fair to myself and other customers who have not frequented this establishment before, you've only been at this location since approximately, July/August. That said, how would I know what Tammy told me three weeks prior was not your usual price. Moreover, how would I know that she had without my knowledge given me an alleged discount during my first visit and that your regular price was higher. How would I know anything other than what your staff member shared with me. After discussing the matter with Tammy, her comment was "I'm sorry we confused each other." Wait, let's pause for a second, can someone please example to me how I could have possibly confused her when I know nothing about their business and pricing scheme. How would I know anything beyond what was shared. How am I responsible for this spat of poor customer service. I was so shocked that I walked away and forgot to tip Monica. I had to ask my sister to bring it to her when she goes in. What happened was unfair and ruined what I felt was a nice salon visit. How can I trust a salon that changes it's price during each visit.
