Had pedicure Thursday & then decided to have a manicure as girl staff member who did pedicure said to stay in pedicure chair to do manicure.. Then to dry my nails girl told me to walk over to nail drying device. I walked to device & was about to sit down on the chair when suddenly the chair on castor wheels took off missed my attempt to sit down & I fell backwards & felt my whole body thump hard into the concrete tiled floor & my jaw/teeth lock & felt like from the trauma of the fall go through my head. Remember staff running up to me asking me if I was okay. I was in shock & this accident felt surreal. I was shaking inside & shocked & startled. Couple staff helped me up & asked me if I was allright & I was still in disbelief of what just hapoened to me & my lower tailbone area was hurting where I landed very hard & my neck & legs & wrist on left hand hurting.. Staff helped me sit on the chair & brought me a bottle water & again asked me how was.. I was waiting for owner to come & see how I was & to.apologise for having unsuitable flimsy chair on castor wheels especially on a tiled floor. Especially used for customer's drying their nails who cant grip or hold the chair due to nails just painted. Staff should of assisted me to the chair & held chair to enable me to sit down & dry my nails. No incident report was completed by staff after my accident. The girls workers looked concerned for me but never saw owner/ manager just paid at counter & left this store in disbelief & shock & in pain all over. Rang my husband first to advise him of my fall off the chair & he was concerned & I then rang my Chiropractor to make an appointment urgently as I was in severe pain & hurting. Then went & sat down in Shingle Inn & ordered pot tea to calm me or help to. Drove home & husband met me at our home as was concerned & then went to Chiropractor appt Wellington Point where I live. Tess Chiropractor said very wise to.come after my bad fall & attended to my body which was damaged by this fall. I then went home after my Chiro appt & have been in bad pain lower tail bone across backside & headaches & neck very sore & parts of my body hurt. I am upset due to no follow up from this store & lack of help in the store. The chair should of been stable on four legs especially on tiles & no mat to stop chair from giving way as I went to sit down. Cleveland has an ageing population & I am concerned if it was a much older person than myself who missed the chair would be in a serious condition. I am 62 not young so this has affected me & not sure what damage this fall has caused or inflicted my body. Will be contacting Centre Management Saturday tomorrow as not happy with the stores reaction & lapse of secure chair to sit down on. Read Less
