I had acrylic nails done a few weeks ago which were advertised as $40. I was given a colour palette to choose from which I was told was normal nail polish. The owner then told me that one of the colours I chose was shellac and decided to pick a different ‘similar’ colour which I hadn’t agreed to. My nails were only about 2cm long from my nail and I was told it would cost me an extra $10 (still have receipt) because of the extra length even though the plastic nail that was glued on was still cut shorter, and shorter again since I decided I didn’t want them quite that long. The owner was texting on her phone while she was filing my nails with an electric nail file which ended with bleeding cuts on nearly every finger. She assumed that because I bite my nails that I didnt know anything about acrylic nails when I obviously knew more than she did, she was telling me things that I knew were not true as I’ve been practicing acrylic nails myself for over a year. I don’t recommend this place to anyone but if you do decide to go here I strongly suggest you ask to see their certificates as I should have to begin with and beware of the staff trying to rip you off. I been here for almost 3 years and always happy with their professional skilled. they have the best hairdressers and best nail technicians. I am not a kind of person who like reviews but I feel very upset. but the staffs told me this person didn’t even pay and they had to call police. that is why she been upset and written everywhere to let them down. Wow! SO unprofessional. My head is scratched my the unbelievable hairwashing technique, my cut was done by THREE 'hairdressers', none of which knew what they were doing, the colour was almost non-existent and NOTHING like the photo that was shown, the blow-dry was done BEFORE the cut (?????), it all took 3 1/2 hours when I was quoted 90 minutes and my clothed were stained by clumsy colouring (then they tried to tell me they wouldn't worry about charging for the replacement t-shirt they bought). These people look for suckers who are travelling and think have no re-course. Get a quote for everything before going ahead, but, better yet, save your time, money and stress and go to someone trained and pleasant. Read Less

I am a regular visitor to this Salon. I have visited a number of different salon's over the years and they are first class at what they do. The Shellac polish looks really natural (not thick and gel-like!) and lasts forever. I have also had my make-up done on a few different occasions and what I love about the end result is that people commented on how my eyes looked, how my skin was glowing rather than commenting on my make-up! Ben is a real artist and uses the right colors and techniques to bring out the best of your natural features without overpowering the face with make-up. This was my first visit here in need of a pedicure.It was also the first time I had a young lady do the pedicure.Firstly, the whole atmosphere was relaxed with soft music and really comfortable chairs. The foot and leg massage was firm but gentle, and I could have stayed all day. When it was over I was left in the chair until my nails dried and I actually fell asleep.I left with not only pretty toes but a complete sense of wellbeing. Read Less

The worst experience ever. If you want to waste your money and deal with a liar then this is the place for you. Don't bother asking for SNS as they do not know how to do SNS properly. I would not recommend this place. EDIT: You did not use Shellac on my nails and if that is the "new" process then why is ALL of my nails chipping within 24 hours?? We told the owner of our displeasure before paying and she told us to come back at a specific time so she could fix the problem but when we came back she was hiding from us and asked one of her other staff members to ask us to come back again 2 hours later. The owner knew we were only in Cairns for a few days and took advantage of us being tourists and knowing we didn't have time to come back another day to have them fixed. This post from the owner is evidence that she is a liar and I would definitely not go back there ever again or recommend anybody to go there. Read Less
