I don't normally write bad reviews and I am hating even doing this one, but I am still just so peeved about it all even two weeks afterwards that I need to get this out. I used to get my nails done all the time and after weeks and weeks of deciding whether to get them done again I decided to and also decided to try Liquid Nails as it was new and right near my work. I should have walked away when I got there. Not only did it take a few minutes for anyone to even acknowledge me when I was standing at the front, I then was asked to sit down where I sat for 20 minutes before anyone even started on my nails, I contemplated walking out. Finally when someone did I couldn't help but notice was a rush job it was. Having had my nails done for many years prior I do have some clue about how they should be done, and this was a rush job (I was in and out within 50 minutes, including my 20 minute wait time!). My cuticles weren't pushed back, there was no general maintenance in tidying up the nail in preparation for the acrylic (so I am expecting lifting to occur any day now), the only thing that was done was using an aggressive file with the nail drill to rough the surface ready for the acrylic. The tips were cut waaay too short (you cant even see the nails above the fingertip - who gets acrylic nails and has them that short!), the tips were glued too far down the nail despite having some length to work with beforehand, so to me they just look stubby. They were barely buffed afterwards to remove any excess stuff and smooth and even the surface out, on a side angle you can see a dent in one of the nails and thickness in some areas of the nails and not others. Once I saw the finished result I thought ok they dont look too bad, but the more I look at them the more annoyed I become. Not only that, that night after I got them done I woke to my two thumb nails throbbing in absolute pain!! I had never experienced anything like it and I panicked thinking I was having a reaction to the acrylic or something as I had never had this happen before, after googling what it might be turns out its a common thing to have happen if they technician files your natural nails too rough/thin, which is exactly what happened when the aggressive file was used in the first instance, so annoyed. The positives, its run by lovely Vietnamese who speak Australian-English, so you can have a nice chat and its all pretty cool, unlike Professionail who can barely grunt at you to get a word across. However I wont be going back. I couldn't get over how ugly and stumpy my fingers looked that I've pulled them all off. Read Less
