Usually I would give this place 5 stars and if you check previous reviews I’ve made about LNB, I have given them 5 star reviews but I can’t make that same review today. Due to circumstances, I had to have my acrylic nails removed. Mine were grown out a bit, so I thought the removal of my acrylics would be a nice, painless procedure and being a customer of LNB for a while, I thought and believed the nail lady would give me her time and care to ensure my natural nails are great before leaving. I was so wrong, and treated so poorly. I was at the nail bar for no longer than 5-10 minutes. It wasn’t overly busy so the lady I had could’ve given me her time and care but she didn’t. She treated me so poorly. Removing the acrylics, she was so rough that I was in so much pain that my hands were shaking. And when she asked me to stop shaking, I asked her to be more careful and gentle with the removal. But instead, she continued being super rough and I was in pain. I also asked to keep my natural long length of my own nails, but instead she cut them down so short, it’s unattractive and chipped my natural nail too. I asked for her name but she didn’t give her name to me so I can’t directly say who this nail lady was. But hell, I don’t want to go back to LNB. Save yourself the money, pain and trouble it causes. If you’re lucky enough to get one of the kind girls who works there, and shows you genuine care and interest in you as a customer- then this place is the place to go to for your nails. But if you get the lady I had today, you’ll be sore and disappointed. Read Less

Have been going here for a while now and have decided I have had my last visit. The nails jobs can feel rushed, and I often leave disappointed. I have even had to go back after the shellac peeled within the first day. I had been using the loyalty card and actually had over 10 visits so I was really excited to use the free shellac I earned, just in time for my birthday. Except it wasn't free? I had to pay $15, which I was really disappointed about. I only had to have nail polish on one finger removed. And the nails were automatically filed before the shellac was put on, but this cost me $15... I don't understand. Super disappointed that I have to find a new go-to nail salon now. Read Less

I love loyalty cards. They are one of my favourite things. So naturally I stamped my loyalty card every time I visited Liquid. It's underneath where I work and was super convienient, almost too good to be true. Plus, the promise of a "free shellac" at the end of the card was too tempting an offer to go elsewhere. After well over 10 visits I was super excited to claim my "free shellac," right in time for my 22nd birthday. So you can imagine my disbelief when I am asked at the counter for $15. Apparently it costs $15 to buff nails and remove polish from one finger. Imagine going to a coffee shop with the promise of a "free coffee," and being asked at the counter for $3. Sure the coffee was free, but then there's like milk, and a cup, and chocolate powder...I used to love this place, but I've decided I'm not going back. The staff are sweet, but the nail jobs usually feel rushed and I leave disappointed. I've even had to return back after the shellac peeled within the first day. I don't know how long they've been around - seems like they're relatively new. I usually go somewhere closer to home but I ran out of time and ended up going here on my lunch break. They're SUPER busy, it's probably better to book next time as they're very popular. The lady who did my nails did a wonderful job (despite hating life it seemed). Most of the other staff members are friendly but at the end of the day, I'd prefer someone to just be damn good at their job more than anything. They were the first nail salon to actually listen to me when I said I wanted my fake nails SHORT. Usually they cut half way down (still 4cm long) and think that's short. Then they make you feel bad for going shorter (like that video on FB!) But this woman cut right to the chase, bam super short and then asked. It's the first time I've had gel acrylics and they're short and I'm happy. She also took $5 off the total price unexpectedly because she knew I was using barely any of the fake nail (more for aesthetics and shaping than anything else). She did a wonderful job - not too thick, everything covered and looked amazing. They also have this super cool exfoliating soap you wash your hands with afterwards which is just to die for. They are set up wonderfully and do a good job. No wonder they're busy. Definitely worth going to if you're a city person/worker.EDIT: I went here for a second time today and had a wonderful experience. I went earlier (learned from my mistakes) and got attended to immediately. I got SNS which a newer technique not many salons offer which is healthier and better for your nails. They've come up lovely. I love this place. It's my go-to from now on. It's also owned by a young brother and sister who are killing it. Read Less

I just moved here and I'm on the hunt for a nail salon. The owner is greedy... Very greedy. I went for a pedi and a fill. The pedicure was good. No complaints there. I'd go back for that.... Or maybe not due to price. $28 for a basic pedi is a bit too much. The girl I had was VERY sweet... I want to leave a 1 star but she was just so nice and bless her heart, she tried. Once she began drilling, I knew I was doomed. I had a clear top coat of gel polish on my acrylics. Every ...nail tech I've had, applies this top coat complimentary. It helps the acrylic from staining and provides a solid shine over the acrylic. The owner wanted $10 just to paint the same top coat of gel polish over the acrylic. That is absurd. The bottle of gel polish only costs $10 so no girl.... I'm not going to pay you that for a measly paint job. Moral of the story.... My nails look terrible. I didn't have her paint them. She filed them too low so the old acrylic is showing. I'll just re-do them myself and apply the top coat myself but I wonder what I paid $17 for? Complete waste. Didn't want to complain at the salon because I didn't want to get the nail tech in any trouble. The boss(es) don't look too friendly except for when they want your money. See More Read Less

I don't normally write bad reviews and I am hating even doing this one, but I am still just so peeved about it all even two weeks afterwards that I need to get this out.  I used to get my nails done all the time and after weeks and weeks of deciding whether to get them done again I decided to and also decided to try Liquid Nails as it was new and right near my work.  I should have walked away when I got there. Not only did it take a few minutes for anyone to even acknowledge me when I was standing at the front, I then was asked to sit down where I sat for 20 minutes before anyone even started on my nails, I contemplated walking out.  Finally when someone did I couldn't help but notice was a rush job it was.  Having had my nails done for many years prior I do have some clue about how they should be done, and this was a rush job (I was in and out within 50 minutes, including my 20 minute wait time!).  My cuticles weren't pushed back, there was no general maintenance in tidying up the nail in preparation for the acrylic (so I am expecting lifting to occur any day now), the only thing that was done was using an aggressive file with the nail drill to rough the surface ready for the acrylic. The tips were cut waaay too short (you cant even see the nails above the fingertip - who gets acrylic nails and has them that short!), the tips were glued too far down the nail despite having some length to work with beforehand, so to me they just look stubby.  They were barely buffed afterwards to remove any excess stuff and smooth and even the surface out, on a side angle you can see a dent in one of the nails and thickness in some areas of the nails and not others.  Once I saw the finished result I thought ok they dont look too bad, but the more I look at them the more annoyed I become. Not only that, that night after I got them done I woke to my two thumb nails throbbing in absolute pain!! I had never experienced anything like it and I panicked thinking I was having a reaction to the acrylic or something as I had never had this happen before, after googling what it might be turns out its a common thing to have happen if they technician files your natural nails too rough/thin, which is exactly what happened when the aggressive file was used in the first instance, so annoyed. The positives, its run by lovely Vietnamese who speak Australian-English, so you can have a nice chat and its all pretty cool, unlike Professionail who can barely grunt at you to get a word across. However I wont be going back.  I couldn't get over how ugly and stumpy my fingers looked that I've pulled them all off. Read Less

I don't regularly get manicures or pedicures but noticed this new nail place and what looked reasonable prices so decided to check it out with a friend. Clearly popular already as when I arrived (with no appointment on a Friday evening) there were no available seats but my friend hadn't arrived so it was no issue and I wrote my name on the waitlist. The friendly staff asked me a few times whether I was ready and were happy to let me wait and just said to tell them when I was ready. Once my friend arrived, we were ushered in. We both opted for the Express Spa Shellac Pedicure ($45) which included a buff, shape, cuticle clean, scrub and the shellac polish. We were seated in the greatest massage chairs (seriously, maybe this is standard but I would almost go back for this for that seat alone) and handed colour charts to choose our polish colour from. They have a large range of colours so picking took a while but eventually I settled on one. The woman doing my nails was very friendly and forgiving of my indecisiveness. The overall result was a little messy initially with some polish on my skin but she buffed it off. It wasn't super smooth but honestly it was my toes and they still looked great. I enjoyed the whole experience - the place was clean, the staff were friendly and I thought prices were good . The location is great and I think you can get an hour free parking at Macarthur Central anyway. Will return! Read Less

Read Less
