got my eyebrows tinted and am really upset about how dark they are. i asked for a brown colour as my eyebrows are naturally light brown and they turned out black and a weird shape. i went back to see if they could fix them and they tried to which was nice but they couldn’t and didn’t get a refund. really devastated and not going back again :( Read Less

Very disappointed with my hour massage. My massage therapist was pregnant and wasnt wearing clothes that covered her stomach and the massage felt like a 12 year old was doing it and all the while all i could hear was the people in the next room talking.it was not very professional or relaxing at all. My husband recently surprised me with a 'couples' massage at Airlie Day Spa and he was extremely disappointed when we were put in seperate rooms and when he questioned it the response he received was 'well the rooms are opposite each other'. We used to attend Mackay Day Spa regularly and always received the most wonderful service but we really felt that with Airlie Day Spa between the facilities and what we experienced on the day, it was pretty much exactly what you get in Bali (and Bali you don't pay close to $200!!).. Unfortunately I had high hopes but was left deflated. I had the Dreamtime package with an add on Vichy shower but that had not been relayed to the therapist and when I was taken to a room I had to speak up about the Vichy request so I had to sit and wait longer whilst it was set up. I was told that they don't normally do the package with Vichy and she made it seem like it was an inconvenience. As a beauty/spa therapist myself I found the entire procedure clunky, uncomfortable and disconnected but it doesn't need to be that way. I had asked for a light, relaxation massage but ended up with deep tissue/trigger point which was very uncomfortable. A change of procedures for set up and treatment and some further staff training would be beneficial Read Less

I'm glad to be the first to review the spa, as I hope they take note and make improvements for future clients.My friend and I hesitated when booking our mani-pedis as we saw the price tag, $62 for each treatment + extra for Shellac. These are steep prices compared to what you could pay for both in other cities. However, the owner assured us we would be treated like queens and this would be better than any typical "Asian nail salon."The service upon entering was stellar. The nice man at the front made sure to help us with our polish selections and then get us started with choice of wine, tea or coffee, before our treatments.Then we were introduced to our nail stylists who took us back to chairs we had to wiggle to get to, quite inconvenient, and then prepare for the treatment. The girls were nice (I say girls because they admitted they were both teens!) but unexperienced when it came to doing nails. When asked if they had a licensed nail technician, they said there was one but she wasn't working that day. Lucky us! :|While the foot massage with clay and scented scrub was nice, there was not much in the way of actually doing the basics for a manicure or pedicure. There was no clipping of nails, only filing, and no trimming of cuticles. I had to ask several times for my nails to be retouched, filed again to be uniform, and then ultimately clipped my own tiny skin because she was too afraid to cut off any hanging cuticle! Absurd! Both my friend and I got the Shellac manicure and during the procedure one girl commented to the other that they were low on the base coat. She scraped the last of it onto my nails and I was not confident I had much of a base at all, let alone the other layers.Finally, when we left and examined each other's nails later that day, we realised there were already gaps without polish, uneven filed nails and we were certain the Shellac may not last through the next day.For the price and all the awards they boast, I am highly surprised at the lack of professionalism and quality I would expect from the area's top salon. While their service is impeccable, you certainly will not get what you pay for, and that is no reason to return. Read Less
