Avoid this place! You'd think it'd be half-decent given it's the only nail salon in East Village and gets its share of customers... the lady was rough (I can handle rough at these places but this level of roughness was excessive) and cut me so badly it would not stop bleeding and stinging. Not once did she apologise - she kept pouring blue lotion on it while blood kept seeping to the surface. I ended up walking out, rather than run the risk of additional injuries! Thank goodness I didn't let her use a blade on my feet! She also caused a blood blister on my big toe nail which my podiatrist has told me will take 12 months to resolve. I've given one star because they didn't try to scum any money off me for their half-finished butchering of my feet. They probably could have run after me while I hobbled off to nurse my injuries but they were probably too busy mopping up blood from other customers... Read Less

Rant alert!!! I'm at east village it's quiet let me get my shellac done on my toes. So they set me down turn on my massage chair and proceed to grind my entire nail off. So I say pls can you soak it off the grinding just makes my nails really thin. So she wipes my nails off with cotton wool with so little acetone on it that the fluff remains on my scratched nail and arms herself with a metal scraping tool and continues to pick and scratch at my shellac. I'm like no no no that's the same thing you need to soak in acetone. So she puts 3 drops acetone on each nail lies a wad of fluffy cotton wool across and cover with a towel and then sits there staring at me. I'm like that's not going to work you need to soak the cotton wool properly and wrap in foil do it does it evaporate so they talk amongst themselves about the my white people feet and then say to me we don't do it like that here. I'm like then I will go somewhere else that will remove it properly!! Cue massive sigh, eye roll gets out a meter of foil and again with the 2 drops of acetone and fluffy cotton wool. This place is hit and miss.... The lady had cut my thumb non stop bleeding so couldn't get my thumb polished.. The "manicure" I paid for was pointless cuticles were still on my nails. Had to go back two days after when my thumb was a little less sore... Still charged full price of $45 even though walking around with unfinished nails. Don't expect customer service.
