Unfortunately, I know most of the nail techs in the establishment and though they aren't bad, there's always something wrong with timing or skill each time I come. I had a nail tech tell me to find someone else, that's how many errors. Every time I come in (even with appointments) I always have to wait and even now, I'm sitting here waiting for my nail tech who happens to be the owner and was just informed that he just left... I was not notified. I again, have to wait for the next available tech and have been injured at this location without any consideration or compensation. The receptionist was very nice and accommodating and so was Dustin! However, his wife, Amanda, was very rude/arrogant and just all around obnoxious. I will not be a return customer. It's too bad since they are close to my home, has tons of choices and the shop is very clean. I would rather drive farther and spend my money elsewhere than to deal with the likes of the owner's wife. If it had not been for her, I would've come back! I've been going to this salon for almost as long as they've been open. But my last visit was a horrible experience. I get a mani/pedi with gel polish & always get an appointment with whoever's available. This time they gave me a guy that was just a horrible tech. He left me sitting 10 minutes longer than any other tech does to soften the polish, that was irritating to start off with. Then as he's grinding off the polish with the sharp metal tool he's looking at everything exc...ept the hand he's working on. Not to mention I got a really bad massage, about 10 seconds on each hand...no exaggeration!! I had a gf meeting me for the pedicure, which just got worse. He did cut my toe very deeply with that grinder tool. I yelled and flinch, he laughed, then put the tool back in the same cut & did it AGAIN. The pedicure ended before I could get my massage because my gf who was 15 minutes late, finished before me even though we had the same pedicure. Highly considering finding another salon. Is there a way to give less than a 1 star review? This place was awful. I went here as a recommendation from a friend as we are visiting from out of town. Have you ever gone somewhere and from a recommendation thought this place is going to be great only to be let down? Yep! This is the place! I was given the technician Ricky. I purchased a $40 pedicure and was also doing the gel manicure with a design. While Ricky was doing the pedicure he did do a short honey scrub ...massage BUT did not do the oil massage as described by their brochure. He then went on to do my nails and this too was a nightmare. My friend that has been going here for a while has always paid $5 for a design but Ricky was trying to tell me that it was $20 while my friends technician was also quoting $5. Finally after he argued for a while with me he said okay to $5. When he was finished (the whole time it took almost 3 hours) I joined my friend and told her about not getting a massage. She told the owners wife Amanda and she started to get very rude. She informed us that she will look at the cameras as if we were lying to her about not getting a massage. A while later we checked out with a 10% discount a huge amount of frustration. The next day my friend and I called the owner Dustin. This turned into another mess. On the drive home from the salon the day before we both noticed that the pink hue in our nails had actually turned purple. So we had shadow purple stains under our pink polish. Dustin was very short with us on the phone but said to come in to get it fixed at 1:30. When we went in my friends technician and my technician started talking about us in front of us. Yes, you heard that right. They said "oh, they are back from yesterday" and were laughing. It was terrible. Oh, it gets much worse. Dustin went back while I was there to check the cameras and wanted to argue with me about getting the massage. He wanted to prove to me that I did get it. He shows me that I got the honey scrub massage...I said yes I said I got that. However, he could not prove that I did get the oil massage with lotion that everyone enjoys and that I paid for. Then Dustin's wife Amanda proceeded to argue with me about how long we were there. I said we were there 3 hours and she was arguing with me while doing another customers nails saying that no we were not. The receptionist brought over the receipt and it said we were there 2 hours and 45 minutes. Very very close to 3 hours off by 15 minutes. So, needless to say they did not fix any of my nails and I was left a very unsatisfied customer. There are so many different nail salons in Las Vegas (former resident) and so many different options. This was the first time myself and my mother in law ever had pedicures. When we first went in, it was fine.. We were treated very nicely. My husband booked the spot for both of us to have $40 deluxe pedicures. So at appt time I was seated and my mil right next to me. Believe the gentleman's name is Dustin(I could be wrong). He got me started with the foot bath. And then asked about polish. We explained we didn't know about gel and regular differences. So he explained that ge...l is 5.00 extra and we were like ok!! He brought over a round rack with tons and tons of polishes. My mil clarified .. "Any of these are 5.00 , there's so many" and he said yes 5.00... Then James comes over and he was very nice and made us super comfortable. When it was time to pay we went up and were told $110. ... I was puzzled but figured I'd call my husband and see if he asked for anything more or what.. So I paid and tipped James 20. Then we get home and spoke to husband ... Called salon and spoke to "dustin" after speaking to 2 other workers who passed me to him... Dustin explained to my husband that he FORGOT to tell us we choose a rockstar color. And that is 15.00 more each.,,, that's not a ton of money but he went on to say "we should know"... We explained we were new ,,, never had this done. We told them we were going to yelp about it,, he laughed and said okay... What a horrible ending to a pleasant experience. I feel completely like they just make up their prices to whatever they want ... They don't care at all ... Wont be back. If you look on their own website it says with deluxe pedicures POLISH OF YOUR CHOICE. Just don't go here thinking it'll be one price cause They will charge you what they want. In response to Dustin's .... 1. You guys are the professionals . As stated to James and you, it was our first pedicure ever. You cannot expect people to just know your prices. That's why we asked and clarified with you. 2. As for my husband being rude. That is true. After you said you "forgot to tell us some of the samples you showed us cost more" that's when he saw you didn't care and so yes he was rude. 3. You were laughing when he said we would leave a review on yelp. 4. You admitted you messed up... You should have made it right. You cannot just assume everyone you deal with knows each polish has diff prices. So for a measly 10 bucks for each of us, 20 total you showed how you value word of mouth and customers in general. 5. Recently went in on my birthday and the greeted me with a glass of wine and after the appointment sang happy birthday with a candle in my favorite chocolate Icecream! This is by far the best shop in town. James is an AWESOME technician - I have been going to James for at least 8 years, if not more. This salon is PERFECT for him. Amanda and Dustin have the best equipment, product and all the staff is extremely friendly.
