On Thursday I went to Neonails. I did not have an appointment and they fit me in for an infill in my acrylic nails. I was prepared to come back at a better time, but they assured me it was no trouble to fit me in there and then. A gentleman sat down with me when I had chosen my colour and asked if I wanted the same shape as I currently had (an almond shape) I said yes. After a somewhat painful process of filing, priming, and applying acrylic in which I visibly winced several times, I felt a burning sensation under my natural nail on my second last finger. They were quite busy and the gentleman mentioned to a woman that seemed to be the owner that two ladies were coming in for appointments quite soon. He painted my nails, charged me $25 ($30 is the price they have listed everywhere) and I left. Upon inspecting my nails when I got home I noticed that they're all different shapes. Some are oval, some are pointed, and the ones that are pointed are in no way even with sharp edges and angles and the point isn't even in the middle. Furthermore there are obvious ridges across the nail surface where obvious grooves have been drilled into the acrylic. They look terrible. And the natural nail on the finger that felt burny is split and chipped under the acrylic. I'm now going to have to have them removed and a whole new set applied, which I don't actually have any time to do. My wonderful acrylic nails that everyone complimented as looking entirely natural now look fake as, and I'm left wondering if he undercharged me as he was aware he'd done a horrible job. Read Less
