One of my colleagues referred me to Emma 7 years ago and I would never go anywhere else. My mum loves fancy nails (see her picture) and she always has a theme, Christmas, Skiing, cherry picking, Cruising on Queen Mary, Easter etc - see her picture. My husband regularly has his feet done too. We go monthly and have gel nails and pedicure. The care taken is wonderful and lasts ages and watching a movie is great too. Yep, this place is a little more expensive than your normal nail bar for a Shellac-Mani. They also charge you to remove your old Shellac - even if they put it on. But, despite being a little slow the quality of the shellac is amazing and lasted me 3/4 weeks. So it works out. I recommend. Read Less

I've been to many different places for my nails, but no one has done their job property for the amount that you pay, until I was introduced to MD nails. They've always looked after me and make me feel special when I go there. MD nails has High standard nail work and I have to say, I've never seen anyone as artistic as Emma. She can draw beautiful things on a tiny nail freehand! I absolutely love Perfect Nails! They take amazing care of their customers. I've be going here for 5 years and would never go anywhere else. My nails hardly ever break and when they do (which is rare) Tony takes care of it no problem. Tony, Crystal, and Rachel are very personable and welcome me every time I come in. I've brought bridal parties in a few times or take ppl for there birthdays and they throw in bonuses from time to time. I highly highly recommend them to any and every one!!! Even when I moved I still travel the extra time to go here and get my nails done. They joke and laugh and ask about your life. I too, came here after reading the great Yelp reviews and was left paranoid over whether I had caught a skin or fungal disease from the salon. Yes, prices are as cheap as a suburban nail place but they need to be a quarter of the current prices to be worth it. Here's why:The sheet of paper / plastic you rest your hands on while getting a manicure is filthy!!! There is dead skin,  nail clippings left over from the previous customers that have gotten trapped on the sheet and remnants of nail colour stain the sheet.  I was their last appointment for the day and saw them cleaning up. All they did was lift the sheet and shake off the day's fifth onto the ground and put the sheet back. I shudder to think of the germs and possible diseases I could catch from resting my hands on it.For the record, I didn't catch any diseases. But it's not worth paying less and risk catching diseases. Next time I will be sure not to be cheap and go to a reputatable salon. Read Less

I was looking for a place to get a full set of acrylic nails, and since my fellow Yelpers gave good reviews about this place, I thought I would check it out. I know that generally nail salons don't have great service, but this service was non-existent.Not even a "Hello" when I walked in. I walked in and the lady asked "Do you have an appointment?: .. Me: Yes.. Lady: Ok sit there *points at the seat*Me: I am here to get a full set of..Lady: Yes i know ..... *tumbleweed* Look.. I don't mind not being spoken to whilst getting my nails done, but a general "Hi, how are you?" or letting me finish my sentence about what I am after would suffice. Other than that, the way my nails turned out were good. The acrylics aren't too thick and i got a rounded square (no pointy edges). The nail technician was a bit rough on my cuticles and they bled a little but other than that, I like the actual look of my nails. Read Less

love this place! I've had my acrylics and a deluxe mani pedi done here before. i like how they massage you legs when you get the deluxe pedicure and the acrylics looked super real for only $45 unlike some of the other places where you pay $50 for chunky looking really obvious fake nails. my only problem with this place is the booking to get acrylics done. i think they only have one person who does the acrylics and she's not in every day so you really have to book in advanced and confirm that they can book you in for that time.i booked for mine in for the morning which that hadn't confirmed yet but i still came and the girl asked me to come back later on during the day. later on before my next booking they gave us a ring and said they couldn't do it. i ended up waiting two days to get my acrylics done but it was worth the wait for the amazing job they did. You get your feet shaved, buffed, exfoliated, moisturised, massaged, apply traction to ankles, file, buff and paint nails. It's $60 for the deluxe shellac pedi and very worth it. Read Less

I'm a guy that gets pedicures...DON'T JUDGE ME, THEY'RE AWESOME!Treat yoself, that's what I say...Anyway, I haven't been to many of these places, but of the places I've been to in Sydney this one has been the best and most man friendly.Found on the second floor of Dixon Street Mall this place does nails and other beauty things (like waxing I assume...I saw a backdoor room with a table and I'm assuming that's for waxing...unless it's for something diabolical...I don't know I'm just a guy that likes pedicures.)For $40, you get the deluxe pedicure which consists of cleaning yo feet, trimming yo nails, getting the dead skin scraped off the bottom of yo feet with a tool, moisturising yo feet, and a massage of yo lower legs and feet, and gettin yo toenails did if you choose (let it be known that I do not get my toenails did.)The best part is the scraping...other places I've been to here don't do it but they do at MD Nails...get that dead skin off I say.On top of this they have entertainment while you wait!!! They have a TV that plays movies, ranging from Asian movies with subtitles to Hollywood movies...the last time I went I watched Casino Royale.You can't beat that...watching something manly when you aren't doing something particularly manly...but whatever...TREAT YOSELF!!!Walk-ins accepted, they just might be slightly slower if they're understaffed.
