I live locally and after trying many places I only get my nails done here. Not only are the staff kind, friendly and polite, they will give you the best manicure. I get shellac and sns done here and they last 2-3 weeks easy. The parrafin wax treatment is so lovely. My 6 year old daughter adores coming here for the cutest nail art around. I went to the salon with a friend for the fist time today and I was really impressed. The ladies are very kind and friendly, they use sanitarised tools and do very throughout mani and pedi. I had a SNS manicure and a pedicure and the results were fantastic! The prices are really good and you also get a loyalty card and a paraffin treatment included with your SNS manicure! Not satisfied at all with my experience here. I made an appointment with Lesley. Came in with faded red to get it dyed back to my natural dark brown hair color and she dyed it jet black. She had to put glaze on it because when she first dyed it there were patches all over my head of red.. I gave it two stars because I loved the style but the color was not what I wanted at all. I mentioned it to her as well after the appointment and she did not want to accept responsibility an...d kept telling me she matched it to the color of my roots, but my roots were dark brown so why do I have jet black hair? The only option she gave me to fix it was to wash it in hot water, like i dont do that already? Im usually not one to leave negative feedback and I always try to be optimistic but for this I had to be honest because I paid a good amount of money for my hair to be done, and right, and then to get this kind of service just baffles me. Fairly standard salon , used packaged sanitised equipment so was happy with that. Had a mani and pedi, whilst the mani dd not last too long my pedi has literally NOT CHIPPED one tiny bit in 4 weeks, am going back today as it has now 'grown' out. very happy~! Read Less

New staff change at Julie's nails, they are rude and unhelpful. After being a loyal customer for 3 years I was getting shellac and the colour they put on was not right, I waited for the 2nd layer on 1 hand to make sure it didn't get super dark to be the colour I wanted... It turns out to be the wrong colour, I was then told that I need to pay extra (on top of the $70) to change it. Ive been getting shellac nails for ages and came into this place by chance. The shellac was done so badly it peeled off within TWO DAYS. I went back to the shop to get it redone, assuming something weird had gone wrong, and they were non apologetic and insisted it was becauee I had not gotten a manicure also. Appearance: staff were lounging around in the spa massage chairs talking another language and eating strong scented food which stunk out the salon like fishStaff: poor service and did not speak much EnglishQuality of work: poor - I got a full set French acrylic and they were filled with air bubbles and weird powders defects at the end. When I pointed this out, they suggested something but due to the language barrier they had to show me their suggestion which was just repainting the top clear coat then she seemed to realise it was the powder and kind of struggled her shoulders and kept painting, not even bothering to fix the botched job. Cost: Because this is one of the more expensive salons around at $40 a set when the one a few doors down is $35 and another a few minutes down the road at $30, I would have expected at least attentive staff or proper acrylics!Overall: I don't recommend this salon unless a bodgy job is what your after Read Less

I've been trying to find a nail salon in Surry Hills that ticks all the boxes - clean, friendly and skilled. Deluxe is good because they take walk ins and they are quite friendly there too. Coming from San Francisco - where you can get an amazing $20 mani/pedi complete with complimentary back massage by a lady who knows your name - it's tough to compete!But Deluxe Nail and Footspa is up there. Not the same value you get in SF - $40 for a mani/pedi sans massage, but the staff are as friendly as they get and they do a great job on your nails. I recently stopped into Deluxe with two friends on a Sunday afternoon. We were each after manicures and pedicures both, which I realize is a tall order when stopping in without an appointment. The staff at Deluxe are very friendly and made a massive effort to accommodate the three of us at the same time. Luckily, they weren't very busy at the time, so we were able to sit next to one another in the pedicure chairs. After choosing our colors and magazines carefully, the staff rotated like a well-oiled machine to get all 60 of our collective nails taken care of at once. The girl working on my toes was very sweet and smily. She made sure to ask what shape and length I wanted my nails (always drives me crazy when they don't ask!). She gave a decent leg massage, but I would have loved it to be a bit longer. In the end, the three of our mani/pedis were finished in about an hour. They ushered us under the driers to set the polish. Because I am ridiculously impatient, however, I tried to pay and leave a little too soon and ended up smudging one nail. Every time!!
