I got my nails done by May, and she was quite lovely. She was pleasant, polite and happy even though she’d already been working for 9 hours without a normal break! My nails look adorable, and she was so gentle with my cracked cuticle. She noticed that one of them had cracked and was still quite sore. Instead of spraying the rubbing alcohol onto my nail directly, she asked if my finger was sore (and when I told her that it had been), she gently sprayed the solution onto a towel and carefully wiped my nail. Had a lovely experience! The staff were friendly, polite and knew what they were doing. Had my nails done with shellac by May. Staff are impatient and rude. When I wanted to try a different colour early on in the pedicure, she was very rude and made me feel bad for expecting the service I'm paying for. Loveeee the decor and the vibe of this place, really lovely! The price is really decent and if you are student you get $10 off which is amazing!! I got shellac for just $20. Amazing Salon! and Decor! My nails have never looked better, and the Shellac is going strong. Although, when i was in there, their were so many rude customers! which infuriates me. This place provided by far the most disappointing pedicure experience I've ever had. I've walked out of here once before after waiting 40 minutes to get a buff shape and polish, but for whatever reason I decided to give them another shot.The nail technician dumped my feet in water and wandered off for 20 minutes before cutting off by cuticles and drawing blood on several nails. She continued to flit between me and another client before walking out of the shop altogether and handing me to another technician. Both had the most lax approach to gel nail drying I've ever come across and having sat there wandering whether I should remind the second nail technician that I existed, he eventually roughly removed the light and toe separators and told me to leave. No moisturizer and the color wasn't even close to the color I requested.  I could excuse some of this had they been busy, but with 3 customers and 4 staff it was inexcusable. There are a million and one options for nails in Chatswood but my pick of the bunch is Ruby Room. This somewhat palatial nail salon is just lovely (albeit kitsch) for a cut, buff and polish. The chandeliers dripping from the ceiling, the red walls and the plush leather chairs give the illusion of indulgence. The prices match the down and dirty places in Westfield and Chatswood chase at $12 for hands and $15 for feet. The staff are very nice (English is limited) plus they are very efficient and precise. I cannot sing enough praise about this nail saloon! The Ruby Room has been one of the most impressive nail experiences I have ever had. I went to the Ruby Room based on my sister's recommendation who recently had her nails done there. I was shopping at the time and decided to book an appointment, but soon found out I didn't need one!Walk in without an appointment and sit down to have a quality manicure and pedicure. The saloon is chock-a-block with customers beautifying their toes in the massage chairs, with just as many having a manicure. Mention the Ruby Room's website promotion and receive $10 off a full set of nail acrylics. I had the shellac manicure which cost only $35!! It will only set you back $25 if you choose to just have the shellac colour done and not any nail maintenance. Magazines are aplenty and with many customers in the saloon, there is always someone to talk to! I am definitely heading  back to the Ruby Room to have a pedicure and am taking my Mum with me!Each nail treatment is shockingly cheap, making pampering very affordable and accessible to those on a budget. The saloon is open 7 days a week, perfect for those with a busy schedule. Get the shopping done and then treat yourself to some much deserved nail therapy!
