After three attempts to speak with the manager, I am now prompted to post publicly. Called in to treat myself a quick toe nail paint. The attendant was very polite and friendly, but the service was actually painful. I have never needed to trim skin around my toe nails, but attendant thought it essential. A searing pain shot up my foot as the point of the trimming tool drove into the skin between nail and toe. Three days later I am still suffering pain on at least four toes from skin savagely trimmed. Got a shellac pedi - the girl removing my old shellac didn’t know what she was doing, removal took 40 minutes. Additionally they neglected to mention that they charged $20 for removal until it was time to pay. $80 for the worst pedicure I’ve ever received. Read Less

Came in for a normal pedicure which cost me $45. It started off well until they shaped my nails unevenly and painted my nails the wrong colour. They were under staffed and had minimal training. They had to send customers out the door because they were too busy. I left with uneven toes with a dodgy colour. Do not recommend to anybody!! Read Less

I walked in recently for a manicure on a rainy day during my vacation and ended up getting a regular polish (non shellac) for $45. Rather pricey, and the manicurist herself was rude--no conversation, just yes/no answers to my polite questions and attempts to make chit chat, despite the fact that she would speak to other customers. I would probably have forgotten the experience quickly and moved on, but the polish chipped immediately--I saw chips as soon as I walked out of the shop, and didn't have any confidence they would be resolved politely or I would have gone back in. Ended up having to get the polish removed and have a whole new shellac manicure done (for only $40) once I got back to Sydney.There were other women in the shop who seemed to be enjoying their services more than myself, so maybe I was unlucky, or maybe the issue was that I wasn't a local. Walked in with my girlfriend today to see if they had anything available within a hour or so of us been in the area and the reply we got was ....."not really no" .....and the girl just looked at us and said nothing else and then carried on talking to the customer she was looking after. We walked out wondering was that a normal response which is certainly isn't. We had a pedicure the day before my wedding and I have to say it was the worst nail painting Ive ever had. You could see the 2nd layer on top as it didnt cover the whole first layer. Very poorly done...my 3yr old could have done a better job. Luckily I already had my finger nails done at another place so they were perfect. Read Less

A big thank you to the ladies at the Nail Bar Cafe for a wonderful experience. We had unfortunately missed out flights to Byron bay which meant we would miss our earlier appointment for four people. The girls managed to get us in later that day and were completely understanding even though we had just lost them 4 spots in the middle of what would be one of their busier days. I entered the store a few days ago and asked about fixing my nails (acrylic with one missing). The lady replied very haughtily (fake smile that didn't touch her eyes) that they only do natural nails. I was about to say I was happy to go back to natural when she spoke over the top of me and directed me to another store, then turned and walked away. I wouldn't normally go out of my way to leave a bad review for a place I did not receive service from (and I know it's kind of weird), but I was just so shocked at the attitude of this woman. I'm wasn't one to treat myself with manicures and pedicures until I accidentally had too much free time in my hands and discovered Nail Bar Cafe! It's conveniently located close to Aldi and it's just so nice to come in and put my feet up and get pampered by the lovely therapists. It has a clean, light and friendly atmosphere and for an hour or so it feels like I'm in a mini retreat. I especially love the Dead Sea foot scrub and the massage chair! Read Less
