Not a local from this area (Pearl Nails Bonnyriggs Plaza) I went to have my nails done on Saturday 9th of April around 11:30ish, while i wait for my daughter to finish with her facial appointment and have also decided to have eyebrow wax. The staff are really careless and ended up stripping off my skin too. She had pulled the wax strip way to hard for the skin to come off. I noticed 10 mins after I left the place that something is not right below my brows as it really hurst and feels like a burning sensation. So this is the result as it heals. I have been coming here for YEARS! I have one specific lady that does my nails and she is absolutely amazing .. however, lashes are a NO GO at this shop. I asked her what style lashes they had and she told me they only had one style but in different lengths. I specifically and very clearly said to her that I don’t want the “natural look”. I already have extremely long lashes when applying mascara. The only reason I got eyelash extensions is to save time applying it every morning. Not only could you not see the lashes after application because they are so natural but by the time she passed me the mirror once she was done, 2 lashes were ALREADY on the verge of falling off. I told her about this and pointed them out but she said something about them being in layers?? By the time I walked out to my car and looked at them, all it took was a little touch and already 6 had fallen out. $80 is NOT worth the hassle of laying on that bed for an entire hour. So unsatisfied. I definitely won’t be doing my lashes there again. Read Less

Terrible first time experience here. Last time too! Owner of salon didn't care when we complained. My nails had to be repainted at my request due to the brush strokes being so lumpy and visible. The lady painted in curves rather than straight lines. She also cut the sides of two of my nails really straight when I had all other nails with a curved edge. Everything about the service was below average and I honestly couldn't believe this woman had a job at the salon with her attitude. I agree with other reviews, they definitely rush the job here as there is no experience or pampering. It's like they just want to get the colour on your nails and get you out. The salon was very very dirty. Floor had lots of dirt and rubbish. Bins over flowing. Nail bar - every surface covered in nail dust, including the chairs. I was repulsed and said something to the young woman at front desk. No response. Read Less
