Horrible, ill mannered staff. They will try to overcharge you for things you don't ask for. Horrible job doing nails, messy and painful.
But above all else, WORST STAFF EVER.

I've just had my nails done at Star Nails Tuggeranong.
I never get my nails done and decided to treat myself.
I went in asking for a set of acrylic nails ($45). They said sure. Did my nails, I was happy chatting away. They cut me twice which I didn't worry to say anything I just shrugged off and thought to myself they're in a rush and they're only human. Another customer came in and demanded my nail technician do my nails, so a junior staff member took over my nails. I was totally OK with this and then was happily chatting away to her.
Things turned south when I went to pay.
I went to pay and they said $55. I said oops no I asked for acrylic and pointed to their menu and said it was $45 (I also had gotten cash out for this so only had exact change). She said nope we did gel Polish which is a extra $10. I explained I didn't ask for a particular Polish, I just wanted acrylic. The staff member than said to me well you shouldn't have let us put gel Polish on. I said I never get my nails done, how am I supposed to know the difference! I refused to pay the extra $10 (1, because I only had exact change and 2, it's the concept).
The other staff member got up and they started yelling at me saying pay exact amount or sit down so I can take your nails off. I was in shock.. Completely embarrassed as there were other customers trying to get their nails done. I told them it's not nice how they are treating me, they are not taking my nails off and I am paying $45. I put the $45 on the table and the young lady started yelling at me, calling me nasty names and told me to piss off.
This is not ok! Something that should have been enjoyable and relaxing turned into me feeling guilty and humiliated.
Avoid this place. Nasty!

Brilliant service, great pricing, perfect nails - thinness, shape, colour, clean tools, etc. The decor is definitely dated and the pedi chairs and UV lights need an update, but otherwise no complaints...

I thought I was really going to like this place ! I took my daughter and her friend on Sunday , we didn’t have much of a wait even though it was pretty busy . A guy did my nails , he socialized very little with me , which was ok , but when I got home and started looking at my nails I noticed several were uneven and there are lumps . I also got gel acrylics and the gel is chipping after 3 days . I’ve never had such lousy looking nails for $65 and I am an avid nail wearer ! I typically get them done every 3 weeks but was looking for a new salon after relocating

I’ve been going to Gel Nails since it opened. Initially because the Sunday hours are so convenient for our busy life. I went back because of the amazing service. Crystal and her team always do an amazing job. Manis/pedis/waxing!!! I recently tried the dipping powder and I’m officially a believer. Last 3+ weeks. I highly recommend.

Came here for an emergency balance because my nail tech was out & it was Sunday so I came here because it was open till 6. I also went because a coworker went for a pedicure and she said she liked it....
Came here for an emergency balance because my nail tech was out & it was Sunday so I came here because it was open till 6. I also went because a coworker went for a pedicure and she said she liked it. Walking in the shop is set up very nice and upscale offering water, coffee & wine. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and told it would be at least a hour wait & I told her it was fine. First skeptical thing that happens was a young lady walked in and she told them she needed ...her nails repainted because they were chipping. When asked (by crystal) she said she came in the day before and the lady up front (crystal) did her nails. So from that alone I was a little iffy but I went ahead because I really needed my nails done plus I had already been waiting for a while. Finally my turn and I did everything basic because I seen they do a up charge for EVERYTHING (acrylic powder, nail shape, cut down ect) crystal did my nails and when she was done they were perfect I must admit!! But LITERALLY 2 days (so Tuesday) I noticed one nail paint starting to chip & long story short by Thursday I had a total of 4 nails that had chipped paint and by Saturday my pinky nail broke in half. So not even a whole week my nails were not looking pretty. I have never been to a shop and my nails chipped on multiple nails. So safe to say I won’t go back See More

Absolutely awful! My sister and I went for what we though was a relaxing evening full get with gel. We were so wrong! Went in late afternoon. Both small children were in salon running all over yelling screaming and cookies flying all over the salon. I was charged 8 dollars more for the shape I wanted and still looked awful! Also, they try to up charge you for everything! They tried to sell me a mani/pedi with free eyebrow wax! Every employee is told to ask and when costumers say no they roll eyes and do shit work on nails. DO NOT GO, save your money!

Every person here is amazing! They are always accommodation, they take the time to listen and are always gentle. My nails always stay good for 2 weeks+ with the gel manuicures. Highly recommended. The management/owners remember you . The owner played a song by special request for me ! Great place!!

Everything is fresh, clean, and new. My toenail polish chipped kind of quick one time, but those things happen and it wouldn't deter me from going back. Overall a very nice spot on the Eastside!!

Fantastic experience! My daughter and I walked in and were immediately greeted and taken back. Everyone was friendly and took their time with us. Our nails (manis and pedis) look great. The price was reasonable compared to other salons. We will definitely return as we were very satisfied with our experience.

I never get my nails done and decided to treat myself.
I went in asking for a set of acrylic nails ($45). They said sure. Did my nails, I was happy chatting away.
